For me quicken is just fine...except for drip tracking.
But then I get online use with quicken & online banking free because I have my mortgage with them.. Bank of America. Mint is a waste of my time, if it wont do imports or full history. iTS a decent effort, but seems to be too close to beta to be worth the trouble. |

I am also very disappointed with mint.com. It can't update checking/credit transactions info
. Will wait few days more, if nothing changes - opt out.

Quicken Online doesn't have my 401k (The Hartford...a pretty big provider) or Honda Financial Services (for a loan on a Honda). I find it ridiculous that they don't have those.
But I also find it ridiculous that Mint has crapped out and won't update my most used accounts for days...Quicken Online got them fine. If only Quicken Online added my 401k and car loan... |

It took about 4 hours to set up everything for myself, create budgets etc. I LOVE this website, but now my Wells Fargo account has not updated in the past 24 hours, so it basically makes this website unusable!
This sucks! First I get seduced by a nice product, then it FAILS on me. This is so frustrating. I rather PAY a monthly fee and have the service work. I'll be checking out Quicken now to see if it's more stable. |

Agreed.
I love MINT. Love the interface. But when things break, they break hard....and the communication is pretty weak. |

Aside from the fact that the website just DOESN'T WORK, the responses from Mint employees seem to indicate a serious lack of understanding about just how severe the problems are. I really, really want to use Mint, but it just doesn't work. |

Thanks for the thread about alternatives. I'm gonna check some of them out. If you've used them, I'd like to hear more about which ones are good or not.
Thanks --------- This forum is filled with negative comments, and people aren't just complaining. Most of these issues make the site useless. Trends is broken, cash is not able to be tracked (unless deposited), and in my account 2 bank accounts won't update and one is not supported at all. How can I see where my money is and where it's going with these issues? Mint, you've got a good thing going. Please don't ignore the issues. |

I agree with much that has been said about this site. I signed up on a tip from a friend over 2 years ago and it's been a godsend. Being able to track all of my expenses and plan all of my budgets in one place without having to do it by hand in a spreadsheet has been so helpful. Yet, like many of you, I'm now getting to the point where Mint is almost more of a hassle.
The Trends bug is a HUGE problem for me. Trends was one of the reasons I signed up in the first place because I'm a visual learner and seeing the graph of all of my expenses meant that I could understand my finances in a way that I could easily grasp. Now that it's broken, and all I'm left with is the Planning tool (which is cool, but not nearly as user friendly and helpful as Trends to see all of my expenses @ once), I'm starting to wonder if I should seek alternatives. This is a real big deal for me because I've been touting Mint's greatness to EVERYONE I meet. I really believe in the power of this site, but I'm not sure how much longer I can last. One of the things that's always bugged me is how Mint could make enough money to survive. They say that they make enough when we click on their sponsors and join their accounts, but from my experience browsing these forums, it seems that only a few people actually do that. In addition to the fact that it seems there isn't enough help to deal with the major bugs in the site, it makes me wonder if Mint isn't making enough money to support it as it grows. I would be willing to pay a REASONABLE SERVICE FEE in order for Mint to be successful and fix these damn bugs, and it seems that there are many others on these forums who agree with me. Paying a fee would show Mint that we care about this site and are invested in its success. Mint, we love you, but if you don't clean up your act, you will lose us. -ays |

My Chase checking account hasn't updated in Mint for four days.
My PageOnce profile seems to be having no trouble. People, the problem does not seem to be with Chase. I just recently joined Mint. I have liked it, so far -- but I am looking for an online tool that I can use to monitor my checking account closely -- the data updating only every few days, or weeks, doesn't seem very useful. For whatever that's worth. -- Scott |
