But there's also something my mom and i have been doing for years: saving $1 bills. She keeps an envelope in her vehicle that she puts them in and i store mine in the sunglasses holder in my truck. If you feel like it's too much to save all of them, you could just save the ones that have a certain letter in the serial number (G is the most common). That makes it fun for the kids to sort thru and figure out which ones to save

Do you have a product or service of your own to market? If not you can be an affiliate for someone else. Marketing your business online is definitely the way to go to stay competitive in the 21st century.

A business that doesn't require product development and inventory is ideal. Work with a reputable company with a strong track record for success and large client base. Also, having all of your shipping, billing, accounting, technical support, and customer service taken care of will give you full freedom to focus on marketing alone. Products/Services based on needs rather than wants that will not require people to change their buying habits will offer the greatest potential for success and residual income.

There are many elements to marketing online, but the core concepts are essentially the same. Here are the most popular techniques used by Internet marketers.

give us an option to let us insert our car's year, how many miles/month we put on our car (so mint can keep an estimate), nake/model, and let it compare the price so we get an actual view of just how much our car is worth. i paid 14,000 for my car a year ago. i'm estimating its worth 10 or 11k now, but really don't know. i bet mint could estimate it pretty well.

Here's my situation. I've been using Mint for several years, deleting any accounts to resolve my problem is NOT an option that I'm willing to consider.

For several years I have had Wamu checking/savings/credit card accounts, and a Chase credit card account. Earlier this year, when my Wamu credit card moved over to the Chase website, Mint handled it perfectly, keeping all my old transactions and moving the formerly Wamu CC to Chase, I barely even noticed the change.

Now that all my Wamu accounts have moved over to Chase, there were some issues the first few days after the big move; but after some initial hiccups, Mint seemed to be happily syncing all my accounts. As of last week, my Wamu checking/savings accounts have been unable to update due to a "Temporary Issue". At first, I thought I would give you guys at Mint a few days to work at the problems, but a week with no syncing is far too long. Both my Chase and "Wamu" credit cards are syncing with no problems, it is only the Wamu accounts that are unable to sync.

Now I need to know. How can I resolve this issue and get my accounts syncing again without losing any data?

Hi all, the transactions are black, yet the dates are greyed out. What does this mean, and should I worry about it? What causes this? Thanks.

Update: Originally I believed the greyed out date was due to the listed transaction being part of a duplicate transaction pair. This is not the case. I have greyed out dates for some transactions that are not duplicates.

Why are these dates greyed out Mint support?
Moved this thread to Mint.com support.

I have been reading about a couple of people here and there who have been unable to add a Compass checking account. I was experiencing the same issue for over a year.

At one point, I was trying to change my Compass password, and I realized that apparently, some time in the past, Compass had shortened their password lengths to < 12 characters. I called up Compass support, got my password reset, and everything is working just fine now.

Anyway, this may only apply to long-time Compass customers, but I thought I'd post just in case that helps someone out there...

I'm sick of getting hit with a fee if the balance in my checking account falls below $99 for even one day. That's my business if I have a low balance, I keep a close eye on my accounts so I don't overdraw anything. I don't need the bank charging me for having a low balance! I could understand if I am not using the account, but I am actively using it, and the balance goes up and down.

Anyway...enough of my rant about my current bank. Anyone have a recommendation for a bank that offers truly free checking, with no minimums? I am looking at Capital One, wondering if they are good?

Thanks!

I think there's a major feature that hasn't really been addressed in the market of personal finance, and that's an easy, free, bill tracking feature.

With so many bills, from Rent to Utilities, utilizing online bill pay, it seems like a perfect fit for Mint to add the ability to provide log-in information to these websites and receive alerts when a bill is ready and alerts if an unpaid bill's due date is approaching (similar to the credit card alert).

This feature would easily tie in to all the already excellent spending reports that Mint provides.

I've been using mint for two months but this is my first venture into the forum, so hi!

I get paid every 4 weeks rather than monthly so it would be really useful to be able to set my budget for every 4 weeks. Some months I get paid 3 times depending on how the dates fall, therefore my monthly income/outgoings comparison can seem a bit meaningless. At the moment I have set my monthly income as (4 week pay x 13)/12 but it would be great to have a 4 week option. Hope that makes sense!
