I've already contacted customer support, but since it took me 3 months to figure out what was wrong I though it might be worth posting here to alert other people of this potential problem.
Since August, I've noticed that I seem to have spent less than I thought at the end of the month. Almost as if some transactions had gone missing. Up until today I hadn't been able to figure out what had been going on.
Today I noticed that my spending on public transit had gone down. Way down. The $89 bus pass that I bought at the beginning of the month, and that was previously displayed as a transaction in mint, was nowhere to be found.
After some more poking I discovered the following, all transactions that showed up for the month of October on my previous billing statement (Sept. 4 - Oct. 4) for my American Express TruEarnings (Costco) charge card were no longer present in Mint. This included my $89 bus pass as well as some other charges. I did some more digging and this happened in September and August as well.
I'm happy to have figured out what went wrong, but if it weren't for that bus pass, I wouldn't have spotted it. Hopefully Mint will be able to sort out this problem, and hopefully this post will help anyone else who is having this problem.
