Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority comes up on your list of financial institutions; however it won't sync. I keep getting the error of Temporary Connection Issue try again later. I have tried for weeks.

Also Goldenwest CU only syncs savings and checking, please add loans and credit cards too.

BenJoeM,

I've tried connecting with Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority as well, but I've had no luck. I called UHEAA and there are two ways to connect, one is the UHEAA OneLink School Portal and the other is the Borrower Account Access. The OneLink portal is for people that are lenders of the loans and the Borrower Account Access is for people with loans. I'm afraid mint only supports the OneLink Portal now. And the one that we need is the Borrower Account Access. If you follow this link you'll see the two options. http://www.uheaa.org/uheaaonelink/index.htm This link shows the OneLink Portal and the Borrower Access.

Since UHEAA is on Twitter and so is Mint I was able to finally get them to look at the issue and it now works (sometimes).

But at least now my loans show up in mint.

I still can't get uheaa to work because it wants to authenticate via secret questions

I've been using UHEAA borrower access in Mint for 4 months now. It works...sometimes. Most of the time (including the last 6 days) it tells me there is a temporary issue. Is Mint looking into fixing this permanently?

I have been monitoring two sets of loans. I've been able to access my own account up until a week ago, and I haven't been able to access the other account for about a month. Mint used to ask for my secret questions for these accounts, but they don't anymore...I think that could be the source of the problem.

I too have trouble connecting to UHEAA. It says there is a temporary connection issue. I have tried deleting the account and reintroducing it, but it does not ask for my security questions/answers. This error appeared sometime during this past summer (2009).

I'm getting the same thing, as a new grad, this is a major part of my budget I'm wanting to see, kind of frustrating

I, too, am experiencing connection woes with UHEAA. Can someone from Mint please, please, pretty please take a second look? This is the only part of my financial picture that isn't being factored into my net worth right now, and it's not a HUGE deal, but it's buggin' me. Thanks!!

We're aware of the issue and working to resolve. We'll have a status update in the next few days.

Stephen,

Come Monday, it will have been 2 weeks since your reply above. If you are going to promise an update in a few days, then please follow through regardless of the update.

How are you coming on fixing the UHEAA accounts? We are all anxious to hear from you. Unfortunately for us, we aren't seeing accurate student loan information which really skews our financial planning.

Still no luck connecting to UHEAA. Any word on this?

What is frustrating was that it was working for me for over 6 months. What changed?

I spoke to UHEAA and according to them they are simply "not compatible with Mint.com"

That said they stated that their system is maintained by AES (American Education Services)

I say we hit them up about working with Mint. Maybe they can get something working.

Speaking with UHEAA or AES is fine, but Mint should be taking the initiative to do this for us. Especially since all our UHEAA accounts were working in Mint before.

Well, two things.

1) Add MyFedLoan.org to the list of student loan sites that use AES. MyFedLoan bought 1/2 of our student debt from UHEAA so now I get to deal with two places to track it that don't work in Mint.

2) I e-mailed back and forth with UHEAA a little bit yesterday and got a Your concern has been forwarded to our web team for review and discussion.

Here's the exchange:

Me to them:

Their Response:
Due to the security features on our website, www.uheaa.org will allow
neither MS Money or Quicken to access and log into the Borrower's
Portal. The website asks the borrower for their username; switches
screens & asks a security question; switches screens & displays a
security image and caption; before finally asking for the borrower's
password.

Ultimately, this is a security issue, which UHEAA takes very
seriously, and will probably not be changed in the near future.

I hope this is helpful

That is a technical issue which I am sure could be worked around
easily if UHEAA were interested in doing so. Wells Fargo and other big
banks are somehow secure and work with Mint. It's not an either-or
situation.

I hope this is helpful

Unfortunately, it's not. I keep track of three bank accounts, my
credit card, car and mortgage loans a 401K and Roth IRA through Mint.
With Mint I can instantly see my balances on all my accounts except
for my UHEAA loans.

I encourage UHEAA to consider the ease of use of its services and to
reconsider its willingness to work with financial management tools
such as Mint.com.

Thank you,

I also have issues connecting with UHEAA. Is there anyone that is willing to post how to even get this started? Those that have been getting things to work "sometimes", please tell the rest of us HOW! @Mint @Stephen I have asked directly about this, through the contact and haven't heard, for many, many, 17 hour periods.

Ignore this message. I just want to subscribe to this thread, and I can't seem to find any other way to do so. I know, I'm an idiot. Somehow you've all avoided this issue. Sorry to bother you.

Hello everyone. I sincerely apologize for the issues you are experiencing in trying to sync uheaa accounts with Mint.com. We have been working with Mint for several weeks to resolve the issue, and have since determined that the issue lies with our third-party online account access provider. We are working diligently to restore sync compatibility between the UHEAA account access portal and Mint.com. Please bookmark the following url to stay up to date on this issue: uheaa.org/mint (http://uheaa.org/mint) .

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Super! I for one really appreciate your response to this and the commitment you've made to resolve the issue. UHEAA is currently the only part of my financial picture I can't automatically include in Mint, and it's frustrating not to be able to see the big picture of my finances, i.e., net worth, etc. It's comforting to know you guys are working on it. Here's hoping your access provider can resolve the issue sooner than later. I'll certainly be checking that URL from time to time. Thanks!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MINT!!

I am glad that UHEAA is working on the issue. I am new to Mint I am getting the same errors that everyone else is getting.

I think everyone should also encourage UHEAA to let us set up automatic withdrawals ONLINE instead of having to print out a form and mail it in. This is the 21st century for goodness sakes!

What do you say?

My UHEAA account has not updated in months now, but I did see that UHEAA is working on this issue. I hope that it is resolved soon, those yellow caution signs make me sad. :P

Still not working. This was the response I got about the issue from Mint support:

UHEAA OneLINK Student Loan is powered by PHEAA and is failing along with UHEAA. We have contacted them already and were informed that they have recently implemented a new security policy that disallows third party aggregators from accessing their customers accounts.

It will be great if you can contact UHEAA OneLINK Student Loan and let them know that they are blocking your personal finance management tool, Mint, from accessing your accounts.

Our engineers are continually working with them on this issue too. Have a good day!

Everyone having this problem should e-mail UHEAA to encourage a resolution of the problem. The can be reached by:

I have a federal stafford loan with myfedloan.org (AES/PHEAA provider), I have tried to add this loan as:

1) AES: aessuccess.org

2) PHEAA: pheaa.org

It didn't work for me.

This is the response I got from Darin Tea (dtea@utahsbr.edu) at UHEAA:

Thank you for your e-mail.

UHEAA is aware that the Mint software is not currently compatible with our system. We are actively working to correct any issues with our borrowers using this software. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

We're trying to set up this connection right now, and it would appear it's still broken.

I emailed UHEAA back in November about this issue, and they never responded. It bothers me so much, it has almost made me pay off my student loans early, just so I don't have to stare at the broken link anymore.
