I've read all of the updates from the Mint staff about server overloads and understand why things have been slow since launch yesterday.
I'm just curious if there is anyone out there who's had a smooth experience adding an account today. I've been trying on and off since yesterday afternoon with absolutely no success and am wondering if I should be jealous of anyone else's good luck.
So...anyone successfully using the Mint service right now with acct's they added in the last 24 hours? If so, any tips?

Yes, folks have been able to add accounts. The problem with the forums is that they can magnify issues greater than they are.
Some banks we do have issues with. We're working on addressing these.
Some add issues occur because of the system problems we're currently facing. Some customers, however, may be pleasantly surprised that they find their accounts active when they login. Are there issues right now? Absolutely. Is everyone having the same issues? No.
All I can ask, even though I realize it is frustrating, is that folks be a little patient while we work the kinks out during our beta.

Thanks for the quick reply, Damon.
The dozen or so unsuccessful attempts I've made with different banks in the last 24 have made me desperate for some success stories.
:D
I was also hoping to get some idea of what WAS working and what wasn't for other users, since my experience has been universally a failure. Maybe a different browser, OS, banking institutions other than the ones I'm trying (BofA, Chase, Amex, & Barclay), etc.
Looking forward to seeing what Mint can do!

Well, let's hope that the capacity upgrades solve some of the problems! Some of the other issues have to do with specific banks (url changes, recent security enhancements, etc.) & we're trying to resolve these as quickly as we can. I know one engineer that is highly stressed right now:)
I know a lot of folks look at any service as being as simple as pushing a button. An honest answer, however, is that Mint.com has some challenges when the items above happen.
What do you think would help alleviate some of these issues? Manually adding data? Importing data?

I have been able to add both Wachovia and Bank of America accounts as well as a Chase credit card. I'm waiting out some probable server issues with not being able to add Chase, Juniper, and an E-trade account but I'm assuming its a maintenance issue rather than a bigger problem.
Honestly, what I really like about this service is the fact that I don't have to manually add data. If I wanted to manually add it, I'd use desktop software to manage my money.
I will say though that I do think it'd be a great option to have for situations like URL changes and the likes, but at least from my perspective, and correct me if I'm wrong, the biggest problem within the past day and a half has been server load. I think a lot of people are just getting ansy (but I don't blame them).

Add some problems adding my bank account...but tried adding a credit card last evening and added on the first try (after having difficulties earlier in the day)

As of this morning added AmericanExpress (multiple accounts, same pass/login); added Chase.

Thanks for everyone's notes...gives me hope!
:D
Damon: I am in no way qualified to offer any suggestions on how to alleviate things, so I'm afraid I can't really accurately about what may or may not work.
