I'm not having the problem with National City checking and savings accounts, but the card services login isn't working anymore -- they've started asking a random security question every time you try to log in. It was working fine before that.

At first, the error message was "need additional information;" now it's just telling me my password is wrong. I can still log into the site itself without any trouble.

I'm having a similar problem. mint is saying that I have an invalid UN/PW, but when I login to the site normal I do login with out issue. However, I am also being prompted by a security question (SSN verification) before it actually lets me view my account through the regular website.

I am seeing the same problem too. My savings and checking accounts work. However, the credit card doesn't. My password is supposedly incorrect, but works fine on the real web site. On their web site though, it asks for secret questions. This isn't any different from what the previous posters state, but I am just confirming.

Same for me... It appears that the username and password are working correctly but -- the mint.com system isn't handling the additional prompt for the last four of the social yet.

"it asks for secret questions"

Do these questions appear on our site when you try to add? I am just wondering because some folks can't see them when using Internet Explorer (would recommend using Mozilla Firefox). (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-2.0.0.7&os=win&lang=en-US)

The questions do not appear on your site. All it says is username and password like normal. I use Firefox and it doesn't work in IE either.

According to National City tech support:

Thank you for contacting us on October 11, 2007, regarding your account.

National City no longer supports Yodlee. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Yodlee is the backend of mint.com, so that affects mint too...

So would that mean that National City cannot work with Mint?

That's my understanding...

Well, that's just frustrating. All my accounts are National City. Oh well.

Hmm I just signed up for mint.com and I don't seem to have any problems at all with my National City interest checking account.

However it WOULD be nice to see my National City Visa information. I buy all my gas on that card! :(

I don't understand why I'd see my checking info and not my credit card info if Natl' City no longer supports Yodlee. Perhaps he/she was a misinformed support person?

In my experience, National City's CC and Checking account access are completely different systems. They have different usernames, appearances, login methods. My National City checking and savings accounts worked well. But the CC just wouldn't work.

I've actually had very few reports of problems with this bank (adding the accounts separately, such as credit card and bank account, generally solves the problem).

I've actually had very few reports of problems with this bank (adding the accounts separately, such as credit card and bank account, generally solves the problem).

The problem is that the credit card (National City Card Services or something like that) won't authenticate and download data. So while I can add separately and my checking and savings work, the credit doesn't.

Thanks. I've sent a few cases off to engineering so that they can investigate.

I'm also having problems. I am, however, being prompted to enter the 2 security questions that I am normally prompted with (using National City Card Services Online
www.national-city.com) but I'm getting an error stating that "Extra Authentication Required" so I'm not sure what is up... But I'll stay tuned.

I am seeing the same thing now. So that should be noted that things have improved slightly, but not enough.

Any updates on this? There was one change and I can see the questions but there are no boxes to put my answers?

I've been having problems with my National City checking account with Mint for a couple of months now (possibly correlating with the October 11 date someone mentioned previously in this thread). I have no problems at all with my NC credit card or my NC mortgage.

The day it started happening, my checking account started showing up as 2 checking accounts on the Overview page, although there is still just one checking account listed on the accounts page. And while it always gives me an error when it tries to update accounts, it does seem to update my checking account sometime in between the times I'm logging in. I'm not so much concerned with it showing me the yellow warning sign as the two accounts showing up there. One of the accounts always reflects the exact dollar amount that was in my account the day the problem started. The second shows my current account balance. Yet it sums these up as assets, so the cash vs debt indicator and other things instantly become useless. I've considered deleting the account and re-adding it to see if this fixes the problem, but I don't want to lose all the data I have already.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I went ahead and deleted my National City checking account from Mint and then added it again (as National City Online Banking) and it now seems to be working normally. Unfortunately, I lost anything more recent than the last couple of months (it would have been smarter to back it up first). At least it's working now.
