I logged in today and see multiple copies of transactions in my register. I logged in earlier and didn't notice this problem, but shortly afterwards I received email alerts about unusual spending which indicated double or triple the normal spending in a few categories.

What can I do to help you find this bug and fix it?

Hi Weldon,

Some customers may have issues with duplicate accounts appearing on their overview and accounts' page. They key reasons this happens:

1. Customer mistakenly added the account twice.
2. The customer recently changed something at their bank's site, such as changing account numbers or the nickname on the account. If you would like to exclude the duplicate -without entirely deleting the account, you can use the directions below to mark the account hidden or closed.

There are ways to exclude certain accounts in Mint. You can either set your account status "Hidden" or "Closed". If you want to hide your account and transactions, set to "Hidden". Your Cashflow graph will be adjusted accordingly. If you choose "Closed" the transactions will remain in Mint but the balance will be zero.

See the steps below on how to exclude an account:
1. Login to your Mint account.
2. Click the “Your Accounts” link at the upper right corner of the page.
3. Locate the account/s you want to change.
4. Click on the specific account then “Edit Details”.
5. Use the dropdown box on the right to mark the account active, hidden or closed.

Hope this will help you in solving the issue

I've looked a little further and found the following...

1. The duplicates are only in one account (efirstbank.com)
2. That account only appears once in Mint
3. The duplicates only go back to the beginning of the most recent statement period
4. The nickname at the bank web site has not changed
5. The duplicates appeared yesterday (as best I know)

This morning I have tried marking the transactions as duplicates. This seems to work, but it is tedious to do for 100+ transactions.
