I'm not sure if this is covered in another thread, I looked but didn't find anything. I seem to be having a problem with Mint importing all of my transactions and labeling them as ACH or ATM Withdraw when it should be labeled as the reference tag which would be "APL*ITUNES" or something a bit more descriptive than what kind of transaction it is. Is this just my bank or do others experience this issue? Thanks!

This information should get better shortly. ACH transactions & the like are currently not as descriptive as they should be.

Great, thanks. Mint is really the all in one solution that I have been looking for for a great while now. I understand this is still in private beta and I am thrilled to be testing it.

The problem I am having with this service is I have no idea which transactions are what. Since I use my debit/credit card for everything transactions from Target and my gas station all look the same so I can not track where my money is going. Isn't that the idea of money management?

Hi Its been about 3 months since the last post to this thread and I figure id check the status of this problem. Im with Navy Federal Credit Union and I only use the Check card for all my purchases. Unfortunately, when Mint.com updates my transaction data, it comes back for every purchase: POS VISA-#### which is not worth the effort to go through and rename than catagorize EVERY transaction which was made. I think I understand the problem though, Navy Federals initial accessable account database is all Point of sale references which display only date, POS VISA-####, and amount. The descriptions of transactions (i.e. FoodLion, CVS, ect.)are in a seperate tab/database. That database displays date, Description, and amount. The update program is unfortunately pulling the data from the first database it finds which is the Point of sale references. Is there any word on this fix? If so, when can it be expected? This website is incredably convienient, unfortunately rendered useless to me due to this issue. Thanks for you time.

9/10 we need to fix this on the backend and/or check it with our provider. Here's what we need for naming and categorization bugs...
Note: One or two examples should suffice. The date/time/bank helps engineering look for the problematic transactions.
Here's what we need:
1. email address of your account
2. the date of the transaction.
3. the category/name that we assigned to the transaction.
4. what the original name of the transaction was (you can get this by hovering your mouse over the transaction).
5. If categorization, we will also need what the category *should* have been.
6. The name of the bank/url of bank (just for tracking purposes)
We will also be doing the same for no category transactions, such as when the transaction name is simply a series of numbers that came across from your bank.
