I have been an MS Money user for several years but now that they announced that they are discontinuing the product I am looking for alternatives. I had been pleased with Mint when I tried it several years ago, but I could not use it as my primary financial software without a bill reminder feature. I started my Mint account up again today figuring that Mint must have that feature by now... but it doesn't!

Now seems like the perfect time for Mint to capitalize on those users that are abandoning MS Money, especially since Mint is often mentioned in the same articles that discuss the discontinuation of MS Money. Adding a reoccurring bill and bill reminder system would make Mint a viable alternative to the software, where as now, it is not.

Mint competitors are offering this feature and I'll just have to go with them for now (rudder.com most likely). I much prefer the interface and simplicity of Mint, but this is a key feature that is missing!

It would be of great help if Mint could issue reminders of various sorts on the accounts it tracks. Most accounts that are accessed which are of type credit or loan have a due date that could be tapped into for such a feature. Presuming that you make many people happy by also tracking utility bills, etc. (those that offer online access to account information), I hope also that reminders will be implemented for those types of accounts as well.

And bill paying? As you know, many banks offer this service online. It would seem to me that it might be possible for you to do the same (perhaps funneling such requests through said banks only if they are present). If that could be done, I would find it extremely useful. That is, what's great about Mint is that it seems well prepared to offer many other things related to one's financial management tasks in a single interface, and this would move one step closer in that direction. Perhaps something like: "Make a payment" on the account page in question. By the way, what seems odd to me already (I've just started using your service) is that there is not even a simple URL link (whose contents would launch into a subsequent tab/window within the browser so as to not disrupt the main Mint session) for the account in question, whether a credit card, loan, etc. You were given the needed URL when the account was initially described, so why not make it available on the account page, where it could be put to additional use?

I'm not sure if this is currently available (i'm not finding it though) but I charge all of my bills through my ATM Debit card, linked to my Checking account, i'd love to be able to have a place where I can put the re-occuring payments (they have set days that they are taken from the account each month) I just have a hard time of remembering when that is. It would be nice if I could tie that to my checking account along with when the non auto deducts are due. thanks

This function in Mint does not exist currently. With intuit taking over Mint I hoping this will not impact the release schedule for new enhancements like this and the manual transactions.
