WellsFargo (sorta) duplicate transactions

When I initiate an online transfer with another WellsFargo customer from my checking account, wellsfargo adds a pending transaction for that amount... it seems that Mint is recording both this pending transaction AND the final transaction once it had processed... please let me know if providing you the transaction names would help you guys program the system to recognize these temporary transaction placeholders...

Something we're trying to resolve. I would use the exclude from Mint option on the categorization page to remove these from appearing in your totals (doesn't delete the transaction; only removes it from your totals).

wow, I'm having the same problem (Wells Fargo).

But, I will not be able to trust my totals until this issue is addressed.

In my case they show up with a Merchant of Activity and a Category of Charity. :-)

No updates as yet. Our Primary focus right now is on getting the Add Accounts' issues resolved. I do know that we have a push coming out around the middle of this month & I will let folks know what's included when I have more details about what made the cut (product improvements, bug fixes, etc.).

Hi, I'm having this problem too with Wells Fargo, only it seems that almost every transaction has a double from Activity under Advertising. Oddly enough, it seems like my totals are about right though.

just thought i'd chime in to add another data point...

lately i've started noticing not just a single duplicate on a transaction, but actually groups of 3 or 4 of the same transaction, though there is no clear pattern that immediately presents itself. (again this is a wellsfargo checking, as well as wellsfargo visa card)

unlike whoever mentioned their totals being accurate, mine appear to be grossly exaggerated based on the duplications.

I'm also having this problem with Wells Fargo. When I try to change the category on the duplicate items, it changes the category for every item with the same transaction name. So, if I try to exclude the duplicates, it also excludes the non-duplicates.

Hmmm...that seems odd. My understanding is that the exclude option works at the transaction level as well. What happens if you try to do it individually?

Is there any update as to getting rid of duplicate transactions for Wells Fargo accounts? It seems like it shouldn't be too difficult since the transactions are labeled as "(pending)" until they are finalized. I haven't seen a post to this thread in about a month so I'm wondering if there is an update. Thanks.

The issue should get better for transactions after the 25th of October. Transactions prior to that date wouldn't have been caught in the fix...

Kohl's did this through my tcf account. Every other transaction seems fine.

I am also starting to show several duplicate transactions in my Wells Fargo checking account.
