It could be a huge benefit to your users if there were a way to automatically generate discussion threads by product and/or merchant linked from transaction entries.

Users could join discussions about a vendor, category, or even tag to share tips and advice. This sort of thing would help to empower the Mint user base with shared wisdom in their dealings with the companies they spend their money with.

I might, for instance, learn that Dell is a fine enough company to buy a computer from, but the Dell Outlet store has the best deals. I might learn that my credit card company has a history of sneaking in back door charges and fees, which would clue me in to finding a new credit card quickly.

Interesting idea! I think that would be a ways off...

I could always create an area in the forums where customers could share tips, however. Would you like to see something like that? Something like "How I Save Money".

I imagine it would not e a feature I'd see soon, but I think as features go, it would be a transformative one.

I think it's not a bad idea, overall. It would not get the traffic/usage of an integrated Mint solution, but might be generally useful. People on Mint are likely the sort of people who would like to share good ideas about finance.
