There's no catch all for transactions that should be in your budget but aren't. You need an unclassified / not in current budget category.
It makes it easy to miss transactions.
If I have a $5000 budget, and $6000 in transactions, but I have only put $4800 in my budgeted categories, it looks like I'm $200 under budget.

They implemented this "Everything Else" category in the new roll out on the 18th, and I think it's great! It's already caught something that had slipped through my budget's cracks. Thanks mint!

I agree with sheriwx that the everything else is meant to capture all expenses and income that are not in our budget. The only change that Mint needs to make is that the Everything else should not show subcategories that are already in your budget. For example I have shopping in budget but I still see the sub categories like clothing in everything else since I do not have a specific line item in my budget. The interesting thing is that the total for Everything else is correct but it shows to many line items.

...that it shows too many line items - it should should just the subcategories that are not actually in any budget.

how is this working for people now? it seems like they fixed some problems.
my everything else just shows "finance charge" from my credit cards. this sucks because i cant budget for that, as half my credit cards dont report this as a transaction, otherwise i would.
