Has anyone gotten a chase credit card to work with Mint?
I've been trying every so often for the past few days, but no luck. I've also confirmed that Chase.com is running like clockwork.
It usually takes 5-10 seconds or so to check off the "Establishing a secure connection", but then hangs for minutes on the next step. Occasionally I've even noticed it make it to the download step, but errors out within seconds of starting the 3rd step.
Any hope? Or has Chase killed this opportunity with their secure access code key for each computer? Is there a way to authorize Mint access?

Chase is currently giving us some problems & may not be an issue we can completely control. We're trying to see what we can do (might be connected to a site update by Chase).
That's helpful to know. Thanks for the quick update.

The issue is apparently caused by an update on the Chase.com site. The ETA for a fix is late Thu. I will post an update if we know this issue is resolved.

Yeah I actually noticed that on the Accounts page it thinks it was updated, but on the overview page it has an error.
I don't use it anymore so I can't tell if it's pulling transactions or not
Likewise. Chase Credit Card won't add.

The issue has to do with a Chase site change (see Mint Announcements). We're hoping that there's a fix by late Thu. & I will post back if the problem is resolved.
Note: This problem impacts a lot of third parties, not just Mint (money, etc.)

I have a feeling the reason behind this is, Chase has to authenticate the computer (I believe by IP address) before it lets you log in. Today I logged onto Chase.com and I had to go use an activation code in order for Chase to "recognize the computer."

I'm still having issues logging in to Chase. Although instead of only getting the "possible maintenance, try again later" error, I also get the "there's a problem and it's been reported" error.
I'm still having issues.
I've tried deleting the account (or, really, just the error message) and starting fresh. Also logging out of Mint and back in. Clearing cookies, cache. Still nothing.
I'm wondering if the source isn't something like 'juliegeng' mentioned (http://forums.mint.com/showpost.php?p=1389&postcount=10).
Here's the standard error...
---------------------
www.chase.com
Could not connect
Mint cannot connect to your account right now:
* Chase may be down for maintenance
* The connection may be too slow
Problems like these are usually resolved in 24 hours.
--------------------
Cancel that... It is still acting weird, but I opened up Mint in Firefox (I was using Safari 3b), and I saw the Chase account in my Account list!
Unfortunately none of the transactions showed up, but the balance was correct. I'll keep you updated.
So here's what's happening...
When I click the "Update Now" button, It flies through steps 1 and 2. The downloading transactions step takes about 5-10 seconds and then just flashes back to the account.
I believe that it doesn't complete steps 3 & 4 for some reason. Leaving the balance in tact, but the transaction data missing.
Any word on this issue? Should I start another thread or is this topic still relevant?

Hi Folks,
Can you please try again? There were some issues with some customers adding accounts earlier this morning. If you recently added it & it is on your account, I would recommend removing the one that's on the account & then adding it again.
Note: I know that there were specific issues between 11am-12 this morning.

I just tried again - cleared all cookies, using Firefox 2, can log in through Chase directly. Error = Could not connect
Mint cannot connect to your account right now:

* The connection may be too slow
Problems like these are usually resolved in 24 hours.
Thanks Admin. I took your advice and still no transactions.
I deleted the current Chase account, and re-added the account.
The process mimicked my experience noted above (http://forums.mint.com/showpost.php?p=1435&postcount=17).

If you added the account today, I would recommend removing & then re-adding (there were most certainly issues between 11am-12 Pacific today).
Note: Even if you took this step & re-added it, please wait a little bit because there might be a lag of sorts.
I will come back and post if I have other updates.

My Chase credit card account says it was last updated 6 hours ago, but it can't update now. It had been working fine up until recently.
That darned authentication number is a real pain. It doesn't recognize my computer, ever, and it makes me get a new code almost every time I log in.

I'm able to add Chase to my list of accounts now, but no transaction history is being downloaded. I've tried re-adding the Chase account to no avail.
FYI, I was previously unable to add Chase to my accounts list at all.
Thanks Admin,

Any other suggestions? Anything else I can do to help debug?

Congrats on going live! Any word on the Chase issue?
In the meantime you might want to consider taking it off your featured and default banks. I imagine it's a very popular bank and you might be drawing attention to the issues noted in this thread. Just so we all don't feel alone here, I've been tracking the same issue with Chase on the Yodlee forums (http://forum.yodlee.com/showthread.php?t=3555&page=3&highlight=chase).
Since Yodlee powers Mint, it might be better to spend more energy on that thread than this one.
I'd love to know how Mint deals with Yodlee issues like this. Does Mint sit idle and wait for Yodlee to fix the issue? Does Mint have direct contact with Yodlee support and engineering staff to expedite issues? And does Yodlee respond to Mint with issue statuses, or is Mint too small to devote staff.
For Mint-related issues this seems like the right forum to post, but for Yodlee powered issues, is it better we spend our debugging energy over on their forums?
You have to feel for Damon, the Admin here. It can't be easy dealing with bugs that are reliant on Yodlee to fix.

Thanks for the update Frithweaver (http://forums.mint.com/showpost.php?p=1853&postcount=41). I was just going to quote the same post on the Yodlee forums.
If you're tracking this issue on Yodlee (http://forum.yodlee.com/showthread.php?t=3555&page=3&highlight=chase), we now know that according to Jyothi, it's a problem with the Chase site, and we are reliant on Chase engineers to fix the issue.
Perhaps we should try to focus some attention on Chase themselves to expedite a solution.

It will probably be ineffective to ask Chase as it is not part of Chase services to end users to offer access for such services. Because Chase is so big, almost everyone who carries a credit card is affected -- we will need to wait.
Someone asked earlier about mint and Yodlee -- mint is Yodlee's customer -- mint has access to report issues to Yodlee as a paying customer. Yodlee will provide direct updates to mint as appropriate. mint will likely let us know when they know. I don't think it is necessary to mix forum sites.
Rasheed
Thanks rasheed. So your suggestion is to notify Mint of the issue, who will in turn report the issue to Yodlee, who will in turn notify Chase of the issue and expect resolution.
I wish there was an easier way. And since we haven't seen any progress, I suppose it's expected we start looking to help out.
Any new updates Damon? Chase is still down. Any new word?

According to the SVP of Products, it should be resolved now:
All, we have had multiple issues with Chase.com as part of their own upgrade.
Most of these issues were resolved as of last night, though we have about 20% of folks that still have problems. If you hit refresh a couple of times it should go through.
We are actively working with Chase to address the issues.
This affects Chase Cards and Checking etc... all sites.
Apologies, but we weren't the source of this one and are just stymied by it. The problem seems to affect all consumers as I personally have had issues with logging on to their site where it requires me to reset my password. While I know they are working with us aggressively, I'm sure that they are focused on fixing basic login services first.
Sorry for the impact to everyone.

We might have some progress on Chase to report shortly. I will post when I know everything is ok for sure.
Again, sorry for all of the issues.
That's great news, Damon!
I noticed another peculiar issue this evening. I tried deleting and re-adding the Chase account by using the search instead of choosing chase from the "Featured Banks" list. There are several matches, but none actually match www.chase.com. The closest match is "Chase", but with the URL of firstusa.com (that was the old url, a year ago or so). It even asks for 3 new fields (Answer 1, Answer 2, Answer 3).
For now I'm thankful that chase.com isn't on the search results because it will lead to frustration when users realize it won't work anyway. But once Chase gets its act together, you might want to check out your search. And I suggested this earlier, but you also might want to remove Chase from the Featured Bank list until they fix the transaction issue.

I tried again this morning and still can't get a connection to my Chase credit card. Their site sucks and is constantly making my setup a new password so even if it does connect eventually will I have to keep updating my password? (If so it would be nice if mint new this and just asked me for my new password once the old one stopped working so I wouldn't have to re sign up every time and hope the accounts synced.)
Regardless I still haven't gotten Chase to connect successfully even once immediately after setting a new password.

Awesome, I got it working that way. There are two that list www.chase.com as their address. The one that is simply called Chase and it listed as one of the top choices (and didn't work for me) and a second one called Chase Manhatten Bank that also has www.chase.com as the address. The second one worked for me.

I tried that, and got another bug! I was able to see my transactions, which was great, but now I have two Chase accounts listed! I definitely removed my old one before adding the new one (I tried this twice). Now when I add Chase Manhattan Bank I get two Chase accounts showing up. When I remove one, no matter which one I remove I also lose all the transaction data for it.

Is there any further information about Chase requiring password/account resets after adding Chase CCs to Mint? I'm running out of password ideas.
Overview of the problem: I can add my Chase credit card, but when I try to access the Chase website myself, I cannot login and must go through a challenge-response system in order to reset my password. This (of course) breaks the connection with Mint.

I am also having problems with using my chase mastercard account in mint. It will download my info and balance information the first time, but if I try to update it, it won't work.
