Mint is currently experiencing issues with some customers & adding accounts from Chase banks. We're trying to work with our vendor on this & I will post an update when I know the issues have been resolved.
Note: As issues with larger banks are often temporary, I would recommend just trying to add the bank in a few days.

I tried adding my account but i get an error message and then I can't log in normally to Chase.com becuase I have to reset my password. Chase is listed on your website as a participating and/or eligible bank. Any ideas?

This is an issue we're working on & I hope to have an update in the next day or so.
Note: If you change your password on Chase, that would mean that the system would now have the incorrect password. Does removing the account & then re-adding work?
Additional note: If you're getting a could not connect error, please read here. (http://forums.mint.com/showthread.php?t=1042)

I've changed my password at Chase. Do you mean that the only way to update the password you have is to delete the Chase account and add it back? When I started to delete it, it warned me I would lose all transactions. Will older transactions be lost permanently?

As it stands right now, yes. I've highlighted this as something we need to fix asap.

Hi Damon
I've been able to sort out the issues surrounding logging into Chase from Mint. However, I can't seem to add any transactions from my Chase credit card. Mint pulls through just the balance.
I've deleted my Chase account on Mint and re-added it. But the transactions are still not coming through.
Thanks for all your hard work assisting me with my previous queries :)

Hi:
I think this is what is happening and you might already know about it, but still:
I recently tried adding my chase account (like everyone here) and was not able to. Then when I tried to log into my Chase online account, it asked me to change my password, which I did. I also deleted my Chase account from Mint. But since then, I am getting locked out of my Chase online account every single day. I have to call the Chase support people everyday to get my account unlocked. When it again happened today, I called them to see what might be happening and they told me that the wrong password is being used to log into chase for more than 6 times and after 3 times, that user name gets locked out.
Obviously, I am not entering a wrong password. And this means that Mint is trying to retrieve my Chase account summary/info using my old password that I used to add my account earlier.
My personal opinion is that the following things must be done IMMEDIATELY in order to resolve the 'CHASE' issue:
1. First and foremost, we need to fix the bug in Mint which is making it look/retrieve account information even after the account has been deleted. I am quite sure, that this is not the case with a Chase account only, but it is happening with all other accounts as well. Mint should stop trying to retrieve info as soon as the account is deleted from Mint.
2. I feel that Chase has changed/disabled its interface that allows services like Yoodle to get information from them. I understand that it would take time to get to the bottom of this and I am ready to wait.
Finally, wuld like to say that Mint is a great service and it is really helping me get my finances in order and I will definitely recommend it to others. Hopefully the Chase issue gets resolved sooner! Please let me know if you need any other kind of help!
Thanks,
Damon

The password issue is one we're working on with our vendor. It also highlights the fact that we need to let customers update the password via our site as well.

I am having the exact same issue with Mint submitting my password wrong and locking me out of my account. I am now on my 3rd password since I started trying to use Mint.
Previous to Mint this never happened at all.

I previously could not add my Chase account, but I have figured out the problem that was preventing my account from being added. My account used to be with Bank One until Chase bought them. Bank One allowed usernames to include special characters (like $,!,_,-,#, etc) but Chase has never allowed special characters in usernames. However, when Chase bought Bank One, they allowed the usernames from Bank One to be transferred over even if they had special characters in them. I've always been able to log in to Chase with my old Bank One username without any problems (it did have special characters in it.) But when I kept getting the "wrong username or password" error from Mint when adding my Chase account, I thought the special characters might be the culprit. Sure enough, when I went into my Chase account and changed my username to follow the Chase guidelines, Mint was suddenly able to add my Chase account without any problems.
I hope this helps out anyone else who may be having problems with adding their Chase accounts.

Thanks moose_tracks! I didn't even think about the username having invalid characters. I too had an account with Bank One that was taken over by Chase and had all information brought over as is. I went and changed my password with Chase when I first was setting up Mint because I like to keep my password secure and have symbols that some sites don't like. I saw that issue with Chase on trying to change it to another symbol included password, but didn't think a thing of the username. I run across this, go and change my username and attempt to add the account again and it pops right up!

That's really interesting. Thanks for posting it.

I have three accounts at Chase Bank that were moved over from WaMu. On day 1 they worked great, but a couple weeks ago they started getting errors. Occasionally being persistent about clicking Try Again clears it up, but not always. The Chase Credit Card, same login, same account, works 100%. And when I log in to the Chase website, I see all five accounts—the two credit cards Mint gets fine, and the three checking accounts Mint is dodgy about fetching.
Please keep us updated.
