Mint.com is an awesome financial management tool; but only if you have access to a regular computer and the internet. For those of us that use mobile devices (and decided that the iPhone was a poor financial decision) there is no easy means of accessing Mint.
Please vote for the mobile platform you wish to see Mint support next, Keeping in mind that a mobile-friendly website would allow access to all listed options

I own an Android phone, an a Nokia n810 (Maemo OS). Since I check Mint on both of these devices--and its unbearable slow--I would love to see an internet-device version of Mint.com.

Android is likely to be the biggest up and comer in the new few years. I would say definitely add this app.
However, Blackberry should probably be the first since that makes the most sense, given that Blackberry is marketed more on the business class / finance segments.
Worse case, definitely make a mobile site that is easier to navigate for mobile devices, even netbooks and other pocket pc phones.

I use a HTC smartphone that uses WM 6.1
Creating a windows mobile app would open it up to a lot of phones. The iPhone fever is getting old. Development for one phone by one manufacturer? Hopefully someone will get on a WM app or mint can create a mobile web friendly page. Love the site, wish I could utilize it away from the computer!

I use a Nokia 770 to access Mint quite often, but I normally use the Maemo VNC client to remotely use Firefox on my Ubuntu box downstairs.
Still, a supported Mint client of some sort (or a non-Flash version of the site) would be a big improvement from my perspective. I seldom surf from my PC directly these days. :)

I agree that everything mobile is too centered around the iPhone these days. I would love to see an app made for all of the major mobile platforms. I currently use a Windows Mobile phone. I can access mint.com from the mobile browser but it's very hard to navigate and takes too long to load. I'm sure all of the WM and Blackberry users would love to have an app of their own.

I'm transitioning from an iPhone to a G1 (actually a Google Dev 1 -- I'm looking to do some hobby development and the open platform is a big selling point), and the Mint mobile application is perhaps the single thing I'm most likely to miss.
Will uninstalling the app from my (formerly beloved) iPhone adjust 'yall's market penetration numbers?

I agree. Personally I have a g1 and would love to access mint via an official android app, however I would certainly find a mobile website acceptable too.

But my main vote is for Android.

My vote is for the Palm Pre. Forget the iPhone now that this beautiful devie is right out of the corner. Heck why not make the site mobile friendly and support EVERY smart phone out there? I'm sure you can do all those animations in CSS/HTML/Canvas or what not standard. Why stick to flash and large resolutions? :D

A native application for Android would be my preference. Remember Android is not just one phone, it's a whole platform that will really start expanding this year and next. Releasing a native application early on will likely increase the Mint userbase as a result.
Second vote would be for an advanced web platform for enhanced smartphone browsers. The drawback of this vs a native application is less integration with the phones operating system (such as notifications, fast and flexible UI, consistent feel, etc.)

Android. Hands down. It's going to have so much focus with all of the new upcoming (18?) devices this year alone, that I can't see why it'd go any other way.
Android. Android. Android! :)

I would love to see an app for mint.com available for the Palm Pre. Since the iphone also operates on an open platform, I don't see why the Palm Pre can't have a cool app from mint.com as well. :D

My vote is for the Palm Pre. [...] Heck why not make the site mobile friendly and support EVERY smart phone out there? [...]
+1 for Palm Pre as well; but more to the point, simply making a solid, stable mobile web site rather than focusing on an application.
I've actually been using the mint.com site through the Pre's browser and it's not too bad--just requires a bit of zooming around. A site that provides the right view scopes would be fantastic. :)

Long time mint.com user here.
Hate to say it, but goodbye Mint.com hello Quickenonline.com
It's free also
It's way faster than mint.com
It supports mobile web browser IE.

I am eagerly awaiting a Palm Pre / WebOS app as well.
The WebOS platform will be on Palm devices for years now they are fully committed to it and I find it great so far. Jump in early and the users will keep on building! Plus, if you make it smooth enough, you could get it thrown in to their ads in a cool way and gain exposure for Mint.

We are getting mint soon. It comes preloaded on the the Motorola Cliq. Check out Motorola's website for more info it should be under the Cliq apps section. (I would link but i am on my droid right now and have crappy internet service right now) With at least 10 new android based phones coming out before the end of the year(Not sure how many in the US) Mint would be stupid not to. In a year or two the number of android based phone users may overtake iphone users worldwide. Anyway the poll should probably be closed.

We definitely need more support for platforms other than the iPhone. Apple has only a small fraction of total marketshare. Mint, don't exclude Windows Mobile and Blackberry users like this.
Personally, +1 for Windows Mobile. It really can't be difficult to make a WinMo app. They've been around the longest with the most development support.

Agree with the logic, an advanced website would be great to fill the gap. I'd like a second vote to be added after Android, I'm partial because I have an android phone, but I'd take a mobile version for the time being.

I am waiting for Oct. 11... Sprint is going to change the game when the HTC Hero is released... Android is geared for the tech savvy person… I know that BlackBerry is, well Blackberry but old people use blackberry, and mint.com is made for the younger financial minded individual and Android sounds like a perfect match to me… They both can raise at the same time… and Congets $170 Mil not bad in two yrs… I use Quicken ( I guess I am old) I hope something will come soon that sync them both…

WinMo 6.5/7 (Windows)
Android (Google)
WebOS (Palm)
BlackBerry (RIM)
Iphone (Mac)
If I were a business, and I were going to sell a mobile suite, I would absolutely, positively dedicate to all platforms, SDKs are released and relatively easy to use or port. (Windows did this on purpose with Marketplace)
My point is this voting stuff? Why? You make a quality product with a web portal, now most people aren't in front of their computers when they are spending there money (thats subjective of course) so I would think that it would be a great business strategy to give us access through our smart phones whatever the OS is.
Its the way of the future.

I would like to see either a mobile site or a Windows Mobile application. I think it's a shame that so many sites only support the iPhone. I originally signed up for this website because I saw someone promoting it on a blog as a good budgeting tool to use via mobile phone. Had I known my phone was not supported, I would have never signed up. I will probably cancel my account in the near future if a mobile site or application is not in development.

I think that the Android is going to be taking over, and I would submit my vote for an Android app similar to what you developed for the iPhone (or better!).
I know that there are several other people who voiced this, but I think that it would be a huge market for you. I know that I am sporting my new Droid and am also a HUGE fan of your service.... recommend it everyone I can!!

Seriously mint, when are you gonna stop twiddling your thumbs and actually start putting out some of these apps or a winmo site instead of polling about it WAYYYYY too late, this is LONGGGG overdue and its quite disconcerting.... my vote is for Android because it clearly is going to have a huge increase in it's userbase in the next couple years, and also cuz I'm typing this on my HTC droid eris :).

The way I see it, Android is the best bet.
1) Google's Android platform will be found on a mobile phone in every service provider with extraordinary PDA hardware running their OS. AT&T is expected to release 5 Android based phones this year as well.
2) Google adopted a app market architecture similar to the iPhone and provided SDK for the platform that's grown to nearly 20,000+ apps quite fast.
3) Two very popular iPhone competing phones that were released and caught U.S. interest: Droid (Verizon) & Nexus One (Tmobile & soon to be on Verizon too).
I have Microsoft love too, but they need to step it up and release their Windows mobile 7 OS with an SDK sooner than later. Windows mobile 6.5 still looks Windows 3.1 and their app market place still sucks. Palm pre had it down but they're too little too late.

Palm Pre app vote, but mobile page works as well.
Best bet would be to make a good Mobile page like m.mint.com since any platform could use it and then make a pre app based off of it since you just use web languages and tools to make the app. Probably the easiest platform to develop for.
But I understand Pre is one of the less used platform, but I am sure it will be more popular once it hits Verizon.
