I manage both my checking and credit card through the same online banking account.

Mint saw my checking account but not my credit account.

How would I add this?

Thanks

This seems to possibly be a bank specific issue we're trying to resolve. One customer simply added their account twice & it showed up; another customer may not get the info.

Generally speaking: I need to know the name of the bank so we can look at resolving potential issues through our vendor.

I'm having some interesting things happen with companies that I have multiple accounts at too.

American Express only picked up my corporate card, not my personal card.

Well Fargo picked up my checking account and my credit account but for some reason broke out the logins under the Accounts tab.

I just updated my American Express account for the third time and it picked up my personal account.

I am having the same issue with Suntrust. It's pulling checking, but not the credit line.

Credit lines currently wouldn't show (considered "other" account right now; we currently only support true credit cards and bank accounts).

I've notified engineering about the intermittent issues of some accounts pulling & not others. Doesn't appear to be bank specific - so it has to be some other issue.

I have three accounts with Fifth Third (53) that I am having troubles getting setup. It keeps adding my overdraft protection credit card and neither of my checking accounts...

What can I provide to help find a solution?

Thanks,

So, am I understanding correctly that SunTrust Credit Cards are simply not supported as of now? Are there plans for that in the future?

[I tried adding my account twice to see if that would fix it, but I haven't had any luck connecting a second time, yet.]

I am having a similar issue with Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union(OCTFCU). All under one login I have checking, savings, car loan, personal loan and credit card. Right now, I am only able to see the checking and savings on Mint.

I've submitted two tickets, and responded to a template reply from support regarding my SunTrust credit card. Although Mint seems to distinguish between a checking account and a credit card account, SunTrust does not, as both accounts are accessed via the same page, same login credentials, etc.

Nonetheless, every day I try again to add my SunTrust Credit Card in Mint, and always receive an Invalid Username / Password response. Unfortunately, if Mint is unable to properly display my cash to debt ratio based on all of my credit cards, it significantly reduces it's value to me as an application. I've submitted two tickets to support so far, and have only ever received a single reply, asking me to perform the exact process that I specified I had performed in my support ticket (and indicating to me that I was only getting a form-based response and that no one had actually read my ticket).

I've been accomplishing [essentially] the same thing via [the excellent] Budget application (from SnowMintCS) on the Mac, though there is a bit more manual work involved; that said, if I can't get my credit card account working in Mint, I'm not really seeing my "financial weather report," which again greatly limits its usefulness and will relegate me to a client-application driven system again.

I look forward to more information from the developers. So far, it appears that my support tickets have fallen on deaf ears. I'd really like to see this issue with SunTrust corrected, as it will make the difference between something I use every day and something I rarely, if ever, glance at.

Hmmm...is the form different for the credit card & bank account? Does your bank require additional login information when you're logging in from a different computer?

Sadly, these issue can take a little time to resolve because we have to go to our engineering team & to our provider (our provider also works on these issues based on volume of requests for a bank across their network, so it can take time with smaller banks). Our customer service initial response time is most certainly going to get better because we have additional folks helping now. We're trying to shoot for at least a 90% w/in 24 hours for initial response.

Nope. One login form, i.e. I login using a singles set of credentials (username/password pair), and am presented with both checking and credit card accounts on the resulting portal page.

Understood, and thanks for your continuing efforts (though SunTrust is by no means a "smaller bank," being one of the largest in the Southeast and across the Eastern seaboard).

Just tried again, immediately prior to posting this, but still no success. :( Really want to see this working.

I've been leaning towards http://Wesabe.com lately, as I've been able to manually massage the data into place with their system, even for accounts they don't immediately recognize, but I prefer the interface and information provided here at Mint.com to that provided by Wesabe. Nonetheless, complete and accurate information is my top priority.

Another possibility is that it is a bug with our provider as well...still trying to work on these issues as quickly as we can.

count this as one more vote to speed the resolution of the suntrust credit card issue.

Would the fact that most bank don't process the transactions on the credit card be a possible reason for the inability to add the SunTrust Credit card? I understand that until recently MNBA was processing the transactions and then BOA and I believe that Inside Bank is processing the tx's.

I use my credit card for most POS to control my money as I see fit.

Hope that this issue gets resolved. I would like to recommend Mint to my friends.

I believe SunTrust used to have a separate credit card url and login. They no longer do as of Aprilish 2007.

Maybe that just needs to be updated at Mint?

Come on Mint. Suntrust is a big bank. Surely there are numerous users (customers) waiting on this Suntrust issue to be resolved.

I'm evaluating Mint and Quicken Online. So far, I can only rely on QuickenOnline to provide a complete financial picture.

Still no love for SunTrust Credit Cards. Is anyone on the Mint team looking into this? It's been months, and I really like Mint, ignoring that it's not giving me a complete and accurate overview of my finances...

Sadly without support,

I have a similar problem with Fidelity. I have both a brokerage and a MyCash account and I am only able to register the brokerage account with Mint.

Any plans to allow me to select an account number so that you do not end up attempting to use the first account you find?

Hello,

I'm also having a problem with American Express. I have four cards under the same login. I only want to pull in transactions for two of the cards as the other two are used by other people.

How can this be accomplished? As someone who almost exclusively uses AMEX, I need this to work in order for any of Mint's budgeting tools to be accurate. It's been pretty frustrating thus far .

Thanks in advance for your help!

Seriously what do we have to do to get suntrust credit cards working. I am sure us customers would be willing to help get this resolved. How long have the customers been asking.... years??? this thread goes back a long time. Everytime i ask i get some response about FIA somthing or other. Do we need signup for an additional service???

And noone at mint says yes or no they give a confusing statement. This is very frustrating

I am disappointed to find that my Suntrust credit card will not work with mint.com. It pretty much prevents me from using the service altogether.

It seems the only suntrust credit cards that are usable are the old ones that are actually issued by FIA card services, and accessed through a completely different website than suntrust.com.

It's unfortunate that there is not even a casual mention whether this is actually even being worked on or not.

I'm a bit frustrated at the same issue I am having with my First Citizens Credit card. It's ridiculous that it is listed when searching for accounts to add, yet it doesn't work. The developers have not once addressed my service ticket nor my thread on here. Is there something we are doing wrong?

Well, from my experience of trying multiple online financial aggregators (Mint, Geezeo, Yodlee, Wesabe, etc.) it's abundantly clear that none are quite yet ready for primetime. Even if they do successfully add an account I have, they don't consistently keep them connected or updated, and thus I cannot trust them for accurate financial information. Furthermore, the lack of response from developers is appalling.

Exactly the same problem I'm having. If this credit card was accessible then I would be good to go.

If there was a way I could upload downloaded transactions from that account, it would at least lessen the pain.

For everyone at Mint.com and all the ticked-off Suntrust CC users:

I am going to type this slowly so that the Dev's will understand it.

FIA
CARD
SERVICES

NO LONGER MANAGES ANY SUNTRUST CREDIT CARDS AS OF LATE 2007-JUNE 2008.

Again, FIA card services (formerly acces sed at www.ibsnetaccess.com (http://www.ibsnetaccess.com)) does not manage ANY (that means zero, zip, zilch, nada, NONE) credit cards issued by or for Suntrust Bank as of 12/31/07.

If the Developers/Damon have problems believing that feel free to contact Suntrust Bank and ask them personally!

They are ALL managed in-house by Suntrust Bank on their main personal finance log-in site:

https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.pt?control=SetCommunity&CommunityID=765&cached=false&space=CommunityPage

from that address go to "My Online Access" (top left of the page in my browser) and input your username and password and voila. You see the following:
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/2580/poopyie6.th.jpg (http://img27.imageshack.us/my.php?image=poopyie6.jpg)

In case you don't want to click and make it bigger, the box in question (with the black redaction marks on it) has the following:

Account Summary

Deposit Available Balance
Checking - xxxx (https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.pt?space=Redirect&CommunityID=782&us_tempActiveAccount=2&us_tempPrintableVersion=false) $xxx.xx
Savings - xxxx (https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.pt?space=Redirect&CommunityID=782&us_tempActiveAccount=1&us_tempPrintableVersion=false) $xxx.xx

Loans/Lines/Credit Cards Balance
Credit Card - xxxx (https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.pt?space=Redirect&CommunityID=782&us_tempActiveAccount=4) $x,xxx.xx
Credit Card - xxxx (https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.pt?space=Redirect&CommunityID=782&us_tempActiveAccount=4) $x,xxx.xx

Seeing as how it is now 2/5/2009 how hard is it for mint.com to understand this and update their interface to the www.suntrust.com (http://www.suntrust.com) website?!

This is the 10th largest U.S. Bank and Mint can't even get that right? Just my 0.02.

I really like the look and feel of mint.com, however I have to go where the functionality is.

I recently gave quicken online a try and it CAN get my suntrust credit card information. It also offers the same abilities as Mint.com, although not as slick.

I was particularly interested in the budgeting of categories and since I use my credit card to buy everything, I really needed to be able to access that information.

I hate to say it, but I will be deleting my account on Mint.com.

For SunTrust cardholders, I wonder if it would help if they got several phone calls threatening to cancel a card because it doesn't work with Mint. It's not SunTrust's fault, but since Mint doesn't seem to be working on this issue, maybe some pressure on the bank will help.

mboom

I posted about this problem with my PNC account and got a completely unhelpful response from the Mint staff. Despite my clear description that Mint does not recognize the credit card account on my ordinary PNC bank login, they kept directing me to try and fix the PNC card services login. That log in is only for PNC customers who do not hold pnc checking and savings accounts. Its a completely different website, that I have never logged into because my account isn;t under that category.

Despite this they kept directing me to try and log into an account I do not hold! After I corrected them for the third time, they stopped responding to me.

Great customer service......

Why is it so hard for Mint to see the third account on my PNC account? It sees the checking and the savings accounts, but it doesn't recognize the credit card account which is also listed!

Will Mint get back to me? Judging the response time on the Suntrust Credit Card issue - probably not.
