View Full Version : When to Use Forum vs Mint Help?

I'm wondering when to report problems (e.g. inability to add accounts or not requesting support of financial institutions, etc) via the Mint Help Contact form vs posting a thread to some part of this forum such as Customer Service. For example, suppose I can't find my bank/financial institution while I'm trying to add accounts and/or need a specific bank/credit card supported. Do I use the contact form from the Mint Help to report this and expect a response. Or, do I post to this forum/thread? If not this thread (Customer Service) then which one should I use? Please advise.

The gernal rule that Mint wants is to use the Mint help if you are trying to communicate with Mint for bug fixes or enhancement requests. The forum is meant for communications between users. Every now and then you will hear from a Mint employee but not often.

hec1152,
mburdsall is pretty much on the money, above. If you want to request support for a financial institution we currently do not support, or would like to report a problem with updating one of your existing bank accounts then please contact us via our contact form:
https://wwws.mint.com/contact.event#contact-form
We do scan the forums and closely monitor Report a Bug threads and also make announcements via Mint Announcements thread:
http://forums.mint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35
Contacting us with the contact form guarantees our Customer Service Team will review your case. Currently, some days we will respond the same day and other days it may take three days depending on our case load.
We always recommend checking out the forums first before submitting a case as you may find your answer. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for using Mint!
