Quadruple checked my user/pass, but it fails authentication ("Incorrect Username or Password")

Can you please send me the following to feedback@mint.com:
1. URL you use to access your account.
2. Information about whether additional login information is required? For example, some banks ask additional security questions (not just username/password) when you login.

Done -- thanks!

It now gets past the first two steps, but freezes on the "Downloading Transactions" step. Unless this takes over an hour...

Could be related to capacity issues over the past few days (I know some folks are getting their account information the next time(s) they login to their accounts).
I also think Commerce *might* have multiple login urls. I've seen some other issues recently with folks having some issues adding Commerce Bank.
Again, I appreciate all the patience folks are showing during the beta period!

I can confirm that the URL redirects to:
banking.commercebank.com/CBI/login.aspx
after signing on at www.commercebank.com

Still have no luck logging in. I get the error "Could not connect. Commerce Bank may be down for maintenance" (it's not). Any ideas? I'm eager to try out this srvice.

I am having similar symptoms as well. I enter my username and password, then at times, the "Establishing a secure connection" step will seem to time out and will display a "could not connect" message. At other times, the "Establishing a secure connection" step will complete then the "Checking user name & password" step will fail and display the "could not connect" message.
The login url for Commerce Bank is: https://banking.commercebank.com/CBI/login.aspx
The login procedure is a tiered process. The first page allows you to enter your username, then you must click a continue button to proceed. On the next page, a "personal security image" is displayed, and you are then able to enter your password. This second page only displays if you have logged into the site with the same computer before. The first time you log in with a new computer, the second page you are taken to asks you for an answer to a security question you chose earlier. Upon entering the correct response, you are then taken to the page to enter your password. This could be preventing the Mint system from logging in correctly. Does this information help in troubleshooting?

https://banking.commercebank.com is how I login.

That's the address I type into the browser as well, but that address is redirected to the one I posted above. I only point this out because it may cause problems when trying to connect through Mint.

Commerce is a large bank with many customers. Not being able to connect to it is the only thing stopping me from using Mint and recommending it to others. (My other accounts seem to be working fine.) I hope this is fixed soon.

Here's a response I got from Mint a few days ago. My login still doesn't work, but they are fully aware of the problem!
Thank you for contacting Mint.
Some Mint customers have recently been receiving an error message that Mint “Can Not Connect” to their bank right now. The fix for this item should occur over the weekend of September 30, 2007. Please do try to add your accounts again at this time.
Many thanks for your patience. We also apologize for the temporary inconvenience during our beta phase.
Regards,
Damon

I see that we can now add the account "Commerce Bank (provided by Midwest)". The "provided by Midwest" bit is encouraging, but unfortunately it's still not working for me. Hopefully this will get resolved soon. Thanks for all work you're putting into this! :)

Still not working, but is a bit different. After attempting to login the first time, I got the message "Updated one minute ago...Update again?" However, no info had been downloaded. I attempted to update again and it claims my username or password is incorrect. Every login attempt since then claimed my username or password is incorrect. I've triple-checked with the actual bank site that I am, in fact, using the correct username and password.
EDIT: It seems to let me login successfully every first time I attempt when I login to Mint, but any further attempts after that gives the "incorrect username or password." If I log out of Mint and back on, I can login successfully again once. But still nothing is downloaded on login.

I saw there's a new Commerce Bank (Midwest) module. I added it, filled out the security questions, and it worked!!! :)
It wasn't able to pull all of the available account history, but at least from this point forward I can start importing this account into Mint. This account was a major deal breaker - glad it works now.
Thanks!

Works for me too! Received a response from Mint about it not pulling in much account history (mine only did 10 days).
Our system actually doesn't pull all transactions & it can vary based on the bank (a general rule is about 30 days back). We're looking to see if we can support pulling in more information down the road.

I just joined and it appears you still are having problems with Commercebank.com. I was able to add the account and do the initial download to mint but after that it will not log back in to update new account information. I get the error msg: Wrong Password, Wrong User Id.
What I think is happening: Commercebank.com requires a user id and password in to separate continuation screens. Then during the 2nd screen where you enter your password, there is a image of an object that I chose to let me know I'm actually on commercebank.com and not a fake website. I hope that makes sense to you.
I also have a mortgage at Countrywide which is the exact same setup as Commercebank.com. Please advise your workaround or fix or timeline.
Thanks,

I cannot get my Mint account to connect to Commerce Bank.

If I login from a new computer, or even a new browser, it asks me security questions. I assume this is where it gets held up.

I was facing the same problems as many here. My Commerce Bank account worked the first time but not subsequent times. The trick for me was making sure I chose and answered the security questions just like I had done within my Commerce account settings. (I thought the security questions were Mint's way of setting up additional security, but apparently they are directly synched to the bank account.)
