View Full Version : ING Direct Not Connecting

I have been trying very hard to connect to ING. To date I have not been able to create this connection.

I sent a message to Mint and was told ING is not supported. I sent a message to ING and they said Mint was not supported. Being that this listed as a popular bank on the site, can some one please help me get connected or tell me if there is a problem, etc.

I can tell you that I am currently connected to ING and it is working properly. I have had issues in the past and have had to delete and reconfigure the connection several times.

I too am having difficulties with ING. From my understanding, ING recently changed the list of security questions they use on their site and Mint has not updated the connector to reflect this new set of questions.

But I think why it works for some people is that until they update their security questions on their ING account, their old ones are still in effect and therefore compatible with Mint's connector. Once you change your questions on ING's site, then you can run into problems because they have new questions that aren't supported from Mint's end yet.

I was planning on seeing if I can find a common set of questions that are still on ING and in Mint's connector and get it to work. I'll post back when I find out.

Naw, I don't think that's why some people's ING isn't working--I haven't updated my ING security questions yet, and my ING accounts are all broken.

@watchinginkdry: Yeah, I was wrong. I tried carefully to make sure all my questions lined up exactly between ING and Mint and it still doesn't work. What's really a pain is that if you've never gotten it to work once, it doesn't save your account config so each time I retry I have to re-enter all those questions and answers.

This seems to be a pretty significant bug within Mint.com. I have tried 5 or 6 times to get it to connect, and it never does. sigh.

I can't imagine that it's not the question issue... I can't find 10 compatible questions between the old and new sets. I started my ING savings account today and cannot add it. Lame.

I'm also having difficulty getting my ING account registered on Mint. It seems the problem is certainly that the security questions on ING don't match the security questions listed on the ING login page on Mint. Please do what you can to get ING working with Mint, as I'd like to use the site. Thanks.

Yep. Security questions are different on Mint than on ING -- I suspect this is the problem that's not letting me add my ING account.

Mint is pretty much useless to me if I can't get my ING accounts hooked up. The questions that Mint is asking me to answer are different than the ones ING is asking me to answer. Very confusing and annoying. Please advise.

Hint ... the questions do not matter.... only the answers to the security questions need to be the same.

I had to figure this out myself, no help from Mint .....

same issue here. Couldn't find a compatible set of questions to work.
