View Full Version : Adding Bank of America accounts results in multiple instances of the same accounts

So, I went ahead & added my Bank of America accounts via the login form, but it seems that my Checking & Savings accounts were added twice, each in a separate instance. The checking account has a disparity between the balance ($1453 for one, and $607, the actual amount, in the other.) The savings account has the same balance for both instances. When I view things in the transaction view, they're listed as such:
Bank of America (CA)
Bank of America (WA & ID)
with either Checking or Savings below. I hold my accounts in MA, so neither of these is correct, but I suspect it has something to do with the way BoA does business & has its customers' accounts listed online. Other than that, Mint is lookin' great! I'm keen to see how you guys progress from here, keep it up!

Thanks for the info. I filed a bug for this because other customers are having similar issues with B of A.

Much obliged; just an update, after a day or so it adds in the Idaho version, then the "All except WA & ID" version, which is what I needed, being in MA. Deleting the other "accounts" seems to have solved things for me at the moment. Really great website, seems to be working VERY well for an alpha!

Thanks for the kind words about the site. If you have other feedback or suggestions, do feel free to post them here. You can also send them to feedback@mint.com. I send out a report about customer wants/needs/issues on a weekly basis.

I too have this issue. Also, briefly, two Chase accounts appeared; one as a bank account, the other as a CC. The CC has since disappeared, but it's the one that should have stayed.
I have the above card listed twice.
If fixing the bug will take sometime, how about a way to disable / deactivate certain accounts? That way, my networth will be accurate.
Thank you.

Is it appearing in the same box? Or do you have two separate boxes for the account? If the latter, you can click on the "x" to remove one of the duplicates.
Sorry about duplicates...the software is being improved to catch & reduce these issues very shortly.
