View Full Version : Account Login Issue (M&T Bank)

I'm having issues logging into my M&T account via Mint. I've tried the same username and password directly on the M&T site and it's working fine.

I think the problem may be that M&T also asks a security question such as "Who was your first teacher?" in order to obtain access to your account.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with TD Banknorth.
Very recently they introduced the "new" security questions feature.
And now I cannot add my TD Banknorth account to Mint

Banks that require additional login information (not just username/pw) are giving us a bit of a hiccup right now. I will file a bug so we can work it out through the service provider (Yodlee).

I've been able to add M&T now. Looks like all of the bugs were worked out!

Has anyone been able to add M&T? I have even gotten as far as "downloading transactions," but then it errors out and doesn't connect.

Same here, it seems like every time I try to login from a new computer M&T asks me a security question, if that helps you guys at all

I was able to connect yesterday, but today it's either not connecting or telling me I have the wrong user name and password.

I can log in fine directly on M&T's web site.

Been trying for three days straight no luck. I get past securing connection and then it errors out.

I realize you're frustrated. Our Engineering and Product guys are working hard to fix the issues that some folks are having (note: It isn't all customers and all banks; just some).

A fix is going in later tonight that should alleviate some of these issues (would recommend trying tomorrow).

Note: I would recommend adding M&T bank accounts and credit cards individually (you should see all options if you search by bank URL).

The fix for wrong username and password was supposed to come out last night - I think it has been pushed to later tonight.

Did you folks also try to add the accounts individually (bank, credit card) by searching for mandt.com?

I just have several bank accounts with them (including a debit card), so I've just been using the regular "M&T Bank" one. Though I did try the credit card one for the hell of it with no success.

Jackpot, the problem is fixed.

When you re-add the M&T login to your accounts list you'll get an expanded login were you'll plug in your secret questions in addition to the normal username and password.

I was able to add my account in seconds! :)

I was finally able to add my M&T account!

However, it has only pulled the last 10 transactions which is the default view when you log into web banking. Is there a way to get mint to pull more data?

Ok I fixed my last post - go into your web banking account on mandtbank.com and change your preferences so that the default view is set to 30 days or whatever you like then update your M&T account in Mint. Pulled the rest of the transactions!

Something must have changed. I'm new to Mint, and my security questions are different from the ones on the page. So I can't log in.

I'm still really interested in using Mint.com to manage my finances, but this bank has been a pickle.

I'm having trouble following the instructions on this post (http://forums.mint.com/showthread.php?t=2702) because there are multiple login screens.

I know I have the correct username and password. Security questions include:

In what city were you married?
What is the first name of your best man/maid of honor?
What was your first job?

There are other ones, but they're not the ones I have. What else can I do to help resolve this issue? Thanks!
