So Coastal Federal Credit Union has a new website, which means I need to contact someone at mint.com so that I can download my transactions from the new site because the old site no longer works. Anyone know how I can get this accomplished or how long it takes to get the new site on mint.com?

Thanks!

I am still able to pull in my coastal info (well the last 10 transactions at least) without a change. I don't think the backend website changed at all, just the landing page.

How about now? The old coastalfcu.org main page leads to a warning that everything is at coastal24.com. My mint stuff is not updating...

Coastals Answer: "Ahh, I have the answer now. It shall be on them. Here's why:

Because Coastal did not support OFX in our last Online Banking application, account aggregation sites like Quicken FREE, Mint, and Wasabe relied on screen scrapping to emulate a users session and gather information about their accounts and transactions. Since our new site has a completely new layout and loads of new functionality the programs employed by these sites will no longer work. The good news is that instead of trying to rewrite their emulation programs these sites can make use of our new OFX service. These sites are responsible for updating their programs.

Users of these services should contact their provider and advise them that Coastal has updated their Online Banking System and they are no longer able to retrieve their account information through their service".

Not good. It now connects, however, I have 2 coastal federal accounts. One can't connect, the other one can. I have *loads* of duplicate transactions. Furthermore, there is some bug or other issue with marking duplicates: I went thru and marked about 20 as duplicates (which is a *very* tedious process) and almost all of them show back up, not set as duplicates.

All of my totals are wrong. I warn those reading this that you should *not* delete the old coastal account. That exposes another bug in mint: the transactions associated with that account will be deleted. Not good.

Yep - I am in the same boat. I have a feeling the only way to resolve this is to remove the old account including all transactions and just suck it up..

bummer

Well - everything seems to be working but the coastal "loan" accounts. Hopefully, that will resolve itself soon.

I still have duplicates that don't go away. I keep stupidly opening them up, clicking the "This is a duplicate" checkbox, only to have the thing pop back up. This sucks.

I'd like to second the fact that the "loan" accounts are not working. Now if only I really didn't owe that money...:p

Well - now none of my coastal accounts are working. Too bad I don't actually pay for this service or I would have a right to complain.

My coastal accounts show up - twice. Except for the loan account which is gone. I now have 2 checking accounts and 2 savings accounts. The totals are slightly different. Everything shows up twice in the summaries, so it looks like I am a rich bitch. There is overlap with transactions. It looks like Mint is actually catching many duplicates, but there are these 15 or so that won't go away. But even if the "mark as duplicate" did work for those transactions, I'd still have the redundant totals.

The "new" accounts start at around Nov 10, 2008. So, If I mark the old accounts as hidden, then I lose all previous transactions. So November just looks wrong (eg no mortgage payment) and then there's nothing before then.

Mint is broken. It's a shame, b/c I liked this service - I liked the "trends" and the auto budgeting. As soon as Quicken Online get their coastal stuff sorted out, I'm going there. Bye, Mint...

I ended up deleting my Coastal account (through Mint), and creating a new one. That made all the duplicate entries go away, but I also lost all my tagging of the original account....

I wasn't able to add my Coastal account. I hope Mint can fix this soon.

I cannot get accurate info for any of my CFCU accounts. Is the current consensus that you must create a new account connection and then delete the old ???

Good luck with that - I used Quicken Online when you had to pay for it. That was a total pile of crap.

I guess? :-)

That is what I did, it worked for a day or so. But I am getting a bit tired of deleting my account, adding it back in and then having to categorize everything.

Coastal has been a problem for me over the past several months. I had a similar problem with failure to connect-- readded coastal and got a second set of accounts then deleted one and lost the years worth of transaction/data.

I did send a mail to mint support to see if there was a way to reverse the delete-- but didn't hear back, guess that's a no.

I did start aggregating data with quickenonline as a result and it has it's issues, I do prefer mint to QO. Quickenonline does have an interesting automated email support system that helps you feel like you have some recourse if there is a problem.

my coastal account has not been updating for the past three days for either quickenonline or mint.

It works! You fixed it! I still have a few dupes to hunt down, but so far, those that I've marked have stayed marked (unlike in the past).

But I now have only One coastal checking account and my totals are basically correct (except for the stray dupes).

This is awesome. Thank you very much.

As of 21 April 2009 I can no longer get transactions from Coastal Federal. I have re-entered my credentials multiple times. No juju.

Ditto here. I even updated my security questions on the Coastal side to be SURE they match and Mint still can't connect. I really like it better than Quicken but I can't spend all my time trying to keep my accounts connected. This should be a ONE AND DONE process for accounts that are added unless the account's web site updates their security procedures.

 I can't connect for +two weeks now. I've reset twice through coastal24 and many times from Mint. Let's get this fixed!!! I turned many people on to Mint and now starting to regret it.

I am having the same problem as well. I sent a support request to Mint to fix the problem, I suggest you all do the same. The more requests they get, the more likely they are to fix it.

Edit:

I got it to work, somehow. Try this: fill in the account info and security questions just like you're supposed to. Try to log in. When it fails, change the information again, but this time just fill in the account number and password. Leave all the rest blank and click ok. Inexplicably, this worked for me. Maybe this will get you all through until the mint people fix it permanently.

This also worked for me as well - but what's NOT working is the CFCU CC. It's still taking me to the coastalfcu defunct site and not the ezcardinfo site. grrr.

I can usually get CFCU to work by logging into the CFCU site itself. It will ask me a security question (there are MANY, too many to put into Mint) and then subsequent logins will not present a security question (for a month or so?)

Go back to Mint and hit "fix". Put in the account number and password (skip security questions) and it works.

I have to do this periodically.
