This may seem like a silly question, but do I need to enter ALL of the information requested? I don't think I even had to give ING that much detail! The street number of the house I grew up in??? And I'm a little surprised that it is asking for my SSN.
Thanks,
Mike

ING has a crazy secure log in setup and they do require all of that info in order to log in to your ING account. If you selected "add this computer" on the ING log in page then they don't ask you for all of that info anymore (which kinda sucks cause then you forgot all of the answers to questions, haha).
Mint needs that info to be able to log in when ING asks them all of the security questions. I think ING includes all possible questions that are offered so there are probably some questions that you don't need to answer cause you never provided them with the info.

Yeah, some of the companies that require additional login info are causing us some issues. We should be able to resolve these in the near future & I will be sure to follow-up in the forums and/or email when I know certain ones are resolved.

You only have to answer the questions you selected for your ING account; for whatever reason EVERY security question that's available shows up here in Mint, but you chose 3 questions when you set up your account. Just answer those. My ING account is working great here at Mint.

Problem is, I don't have a clue which ones I signed-up with. Any ideas how I can figure that out?

Are you trying to figure out which accounts you have attached to Mint? You can locate this information by going to the "Accounts" tab.
If you're asking about the ING account questions, you would probably want to contact them directly (I wouldn't be able to see any information like that).

Log in to ING, then proceed to "My Info", then "Login Options". You'll find your questions (and answers) there.

...and if you DON'T it means that you didn't actually save them. See my other post here (http://forums.mint.com/showpost.php?p=36358&postcount=110). It's bad bad UI design.
Also (from the same post linked above): you have to answer the same questions in a case-sensitive identical manner, in the same exact order on BOTH sites.

Damon, on this sticky thread (http://forums.mint.com/showthread.php?t=1941) you say:
Look at the answers to your security questions. You need to answer those questions identically on Mint.
Assuming that I am correct above and the precise and identical ordering was the thing that did the trick, then you might want to revise the above because it's not specific enough. When I first read that, I thought you were just saying the answers all had to be identical on the corresponding questions, not that the entire setup had to be identical.

There's a problem with it right now. Mine used to work fine with just the 5 questions that I had on the Ing website. It hasn't worked in 2 months and I thought to submit a help request yesterday. Got a confirm back that it's buggy now.

Mine stopped working a week or 2 back. Is this a currently known issue?

I am new to Mint and of 10 accounts this one caused the only grief. I followed the advice on the ING Direct Stickied thread about going to ING/my info/log in and putting in the 5 questions listed exactly and it finally worked. ( I had previously tried the route of answering no questions and all). Good luck.

after i entered the security questions yesterday, it worked in adding the account.
however, i haven't had a successful update since. for those who have got it added, are your updates working seamlessly?
thank you in advance

Some people may not want to do this, but I had tried everything that had been suggested here and in the other longer thread and still no luck.
I changed all of the answers to my security question to the same thing. It doesn't make sense that my high school mascot is the same as the name of my mothers mother, but it worked. Still infrequent updates, but usually not longer than 2 days.

It updates fine for me. I often have to wait a day or so, which is a hassle, but it does work without me having to change anything manually. I just have to log in at odd hours to get it to work.

After many frustrating attempts to get the login questions all set up correctly, I just realized that I had not verified my e-mail account with ING; and I've had this account for years! After verifying my e-mail account, I was easily able to add the account to my Mint.com setup.
Login to ING Direct, in the upper left hand corner it will say "Hello [your name]", and below that is your e-mail address. If it hasn't been verified, there will be a hyperlink just to the right of your e-mail address to do so. Follow the directions and that should work.

I've reviewed the forums for about 2 and a half hours. I have tried all the suggestions to no avail. However, there is one I have not been able to try.
Many people mention changing the order of the security questions on ING to match the order at Mint...when I try to add my ING Direct account to Mint, all that Mint asks for is my customer number/saver id and login PIN. Mint does not ask me for my security questions/answers. Where in Mint do I go to see the list of security questions if they are not listed on the Add Account screen?

Bump- I'm curious about the same thing. Where do I input the security questions?
The first time I added ING Direct, I remember entering at least two of my questions. However I recently deleted ING Direct and tried to re-add it. Now when I add it, it doesn't prompt me to enter the questions/answers. Where do I go to enter these again? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
