Will Mint.com keep all transaction history in its system or is there a rolling history range (i.e. 2 years) where anything older will be purged. Wondering if Mint.com can be a MSMoney/Quicken replacement to store all my historical information or is Mint.com more of a budgeting service where current data is what is only valuable.

Hi - I'm wondering the same thing and haven't found out how to confirm this (or not). Any ideas?

AT what point will MINT get us the answer or at least some flexibility to see patterns. That is the strenght of software like this and yet i can't see more than 12 months of information.

Seems like they are disabling the product vs providing useful and intuitive functionality.

I used to have an "all time" button on trends but now can only see 1 year. I still have the old data, but I can't see it on trends.

Other threads here have indicated they retain all your info until you delete your account. Could this be a bug?

It is my understanding that Mint will retain all of your history as it grows. Since Mint is not very old they may have bugs on reports and graphs when you get to the one year mark.

Yodlee retains all of your history and since it is the foundation for Mint I would assume the same is true with Mint.

I have another post going with this same question:

I searched, but didn't realize it had already been asked.

I signed up for a Mint account 2 months ago, and I find that my history only reaches 3 months back. Does the start point for transactions begin only when you register at Mint? Or is the transaction history supposed to go all the way back to when the banking/CC accounts opened?

That is my understanding as well. That Mint will continue to retain all transactions. If you go to the accounts tab it shows how many days fo transactions it has already with no mention of limit.

If they allow us to eventually load manual historical transaction I cannot see theme ver limiting the number of transactions.

Mint can only pull in a month back of transactions starting from the date of addition. And then it would continue to compile in your account as long as you kept the accounts attached to Mint.com. The thirty days only applies from the date you created the account initially.

Once you delete your account, all transactions and customization associated with it will also be deleted.

It seems to me that its a major limitation of Mint if it can only pull 3 months of transaction information from the time you open the Mint account.

This doesn't seem to make much sense because yodlee has all of the historical information anyways...why not show all of it?
