Hello All,

I have been trying to add my bank Teachers Federal Credit Union http://www.teachersfcu.org and for some reason, it keeps saying. Try again later might clear this up.

I know it is my bank because when I put in the URL in the search box it comes to my bank.

My login process has about 3 different steps so I am not sure I know how I would be able to access my account.

Any help or advice would be great on this,

PM

So far I figured out what NOT to do...

I recieved a different message if I try to guess the image verification.

The error message now states - Your Bank Website is down for maintainence please try later.

Is there anyone else with image verification that can give me advice on this?

Thanks

P

Nope, no luck.

The support team got back to me saying that the bank listed in Mint is for Teachers Federal Credit Union but for only investment services or something...whatever that means.

What is happening is that the website at www.teachersfcu.org gets a request from mint, it does not recognize who is trying to log on. So TFCU website starts to ask the saved questions that you have on your account, which mint does not know, and spits back that it is out of service.

Hope that helps you understand what is going on, I will post if I get anywhere with this...

I contacted Teachers Federal Credit Union about maybe working with Mint.com to help allow access for its customers. Here is the response I got.

The FAQ below says that you as a Mint.com customer can let them know you are willing to work with TFCU and they will get back to you when they have made that possible.
It seems like they are attempting to make contact with those financial institutions that customers request and have not gotten to TFCU just yet...

We are interested in helping our members in any way possible. Beyond that, I am personally interested in new technologies that can help people make their lives more convenient.
Our system is currently accessible through the web using the correct information and a usable interface.
However, we cannot make other institutions or companies work any faster in making their connections with our systems.
It is up to Mint.com to make that connection...

Looks like teachersfcu.org is willing to work with Mint, but it is up to Mint to make the connection.

I also contacted Mint in regards to this and here is the response.

Note: I am sending this because Mint currently supports only the option for investment and we currently don't support the checking/savings account.

While Mint's provider does a solid job at capturing many account types for many financial institutions, there will be times when one or the other may not be supported from the single login. We're gathering data on this information & will attempt to get them added via our provider. Mint can't provide an ETA for this, unfortunately, and we don't know if we will be able to resolve it with your particular bank.

Mint: if you need any testers for the bank, I am willing to help, and im sure there are many others as well.

WOW!

I just about counted all this for dead and it seems like there might be some life to it after all.

Count me in for testing if you need another software tester type guy....:)
