Hi Mint,
I just sent you a bug report. I love the idea of tracking my expenses, and allocating budget amounts for each category. However, I noticed that if I choose to view a category & its sub-category as separate bars, you double count transactions.
For example, Gas/ Fuel is a sub-category of Auto. Well, I want to see how much my Gas/ Fuel costs, and keep this separate from my other Auto expenses (maintenance, insurance) that tend to be semi-annual, rather than monthly expenses.
It's impossible for me to de-dupe this, when I indicate a transaction is a duplicate, it removes the item from BOTH Auto & Gas/ Fuel.
If this is happening across all categories & sub-categories, that means my expense tracking is totally off. It also means your alerts & notifications are falsely triggered.
Please fix this soon! I love having a complete dashboard of my finances, but Mint is pretty useless as a personal finance tool if this important feature doesn't work. Thanks!
