I did have an AES account connected to my mint account. I used to have to sign back into the account on Mint every couple days or so, no big deal. Then one day i try to sign on and it says wrong username or password. I have attempted to sign back on about 40 times, i have the same security questions answer as i do on AES, whats going on here?

I deleted the AES from mint to see if that might somehow fix it, it didnt.

I have also been trying to connect to my investment account on Lincoln Investment Planning for 2 weeks or so, Mint still states, we're having issues right now, please try a bit later.

Whether I use AES or PHEAA, I'm able to add the account. But when it attempts to do updates, it says "Wrong username or password."

I verified that I'm using the correct security questions and answers. The only odd thing is

1) The security questions are in a different order than how PHEAA lists them.
2) For some reason, in Mint setup, PHEAA asks for password before username. AES asks for username first.

But I verified that, while out of order, I am using the same set of questions and answers. Again these both get me the same account information. (Outside of Mint, you can go to PHEAA or AES to login - both take you to PHEAA.)

Anyone have any idea why this account is so unreliable?

I continue to have issues with it refreshing with either AES or PHEAA.

Are these forums monitored by Mint employees?

The support link says that this is a faster way to get support than email. Neither email nor the forums have shown any responsiveness.

I sent an email explaining what I did to ensure I was doing the correct thing and they responded with a "i'm sorry for not responding sooner" and the response was an obvious copy/paste from their knowledgebase. I am so sick of sites not reading those who take the time to detail their efforts and respond with the same canned responses that illustrate their lack of reading. Why would it take days for mint to tell me my username or password are probably incorrect?

This AES web service is broken and they are dragging their feet to fix it.:(

I'm not sure that AES is broken though. Because Mint.com is powered by Yodlee, I decided to see if Yodlee could handle AES/PHEAA. I added my account there, and it updates just fine. Only on Mint do I have issues. I wonder if how Mint communicates with Yodlee is broken in certain scenarios.

I too have the same issues. Bump?

I've had the same problem with AES account months ago. Decided to re-add yesterday to see if things have been resolved, and nope, same issue.

Adding account is fine. Downloaded my 2 loans from AES. Next day, updates fail with "bad user/pass" error.

When I try to add my AES account it says I have the wrong login and password when I am adding the correct information. I don't know what to do.

Says Username and Password is incorrect. I checked it on the website for AES and it's correct. I don't understand. Anyone having trouble with it now in 2009?

I've been trying since December to add my AES account to mint. I have never been able to successfully add it, I always get the "wrong username/paddword" message even though I know I'm using the correct information. I sent mint a detailed email, but have never received any type of response other than the automated "thank you for contacting us" email. Has anyone ever heard anything from mint about this issue?

My AES account hasn't successfully synced since 4 months ago. I'm having the same problems as everyone else (I can log into AES, but Mint can't authenticate). Managing student loans is one of the main reasons why I would use Mint, but from the sound of things it looks like Mint has no plans on fixing this at all.

Take a look at this related thread:
http://forums.mint.com/showthread.php?t=3930&page=2

I know how to reproduce the issue, if someone from Mint.com would like to work with me.

Bumping this up, I'm still seeing this problem

Thanks,

There seem to be numerous threads over months and months with this. At what point does this become a priority, even enough for Mint to respond to with a cursory acknowledgment?

I see this is an old issue then. I just joined Mint about two or three weeks ago and haven't been able to add AES. It recognizes my password and all that jazz. Today it even asked my security question. But it always seems to time out or something. All Mint says is that they are having a "temporary issue connecting" and I should "try again later."

I'm having this issue too and I want it cleared up. Right now it won't connect at all but I've been asked my security question and it still won't connect.

Same here - I've submitted it to Mint and they've done nothing...

Ditto all around. No AES update in about 2 months. Was working fine one day, then nothing. And nothing since. This is almost enough for me to consider stop using mint, as like 80% of my added accounts are through AES.

Oh well, I guess the service you get is the service you don't pay for.
