View Full Version : Adding accounts: Pershing

I'm using Pershing, which evidently has multiple access portals. You support one of them (netxinvestor.com) but not the other (netxview.com). They ask for the same info, which makes it seem like it would be straightforward to include both? I'd be happy (thrilled, actually) to beta test ...

Any luck? I too am trying to add pershing, but zippo responses. I was able to add the account, but none of the transactions are downloading.

No luck so far. I have an open bug with them, but they're evidently oversubscribed. I still can't get it to add ... I give it my (correct) values, but it gives me "username / password are wrong." I'll post here when I have a resolution ...

Same problem. I talked to Pershing directly and they say it is netselect that is their main portal---not netexchange which had to be set up specially for a few banks. I was very dissatisfied by Mint's non-response to this concern.

Hi Minters,
We are aware of this issue with Pershing and we're actively addressing this now. Thanks for the feedback. We hope to have this resolved soon. I will post here when we have a status update to share.

Looks like the Mint folks are overwhelmed.... so you need more than 1 post in a thread to get a response. I'm not pleased that it appeared that netxclient website was shown as a "valid" option with Mint. :(
I heard that pershing is offering direct Quicken/Money downloads by beginning next year. So at least we will have an alternatives if this doesn't work out.

So it looks like the totals have come through, however the transactions and details have not. Good to see some progress.

I contacted mint customer support about this issue on 11/08. I learned that:
Mint points to https://www.netxinvestor.com which is for PERSHING ADVISORS and
PERSHING CLIENTS go to https://www2.netxselect.com
I have tried to log in again in 12/08 with no luck. Any update on this issue?

I'm having the same issue. Seems like Mint works with the www.netxselect.com "PERSING INVESTORS".
When I try to log into this one (outside of Mint) the site asks for the same log in information as www2.netxselect.com "PERSING CLIENTS" site, but the log in doesn't work.
I hope they get www2.netxselect.com working soon!

I'm really looking forward to this being fixed. Is there a status or ETA update for this? I have the same problem. I hooked everything up for my account, but I keep getting this error when it attempts to synchronize:

After nearly a year of consolidating my finances and setting up paperless statements, I now realize that I need something like mint.com, however most of my stuff is at Pershing or Fidelity, any update or status on client access to our Pershing accounts using mint? <bump>

It has been 7-8 months since Mint posted on here that they were actively working to resolve this issue but yet we still have no solution? What is going on? I would really like to be able to have my investment account added to my Mint profile.

Sorry for the frustrations this has caused. Our data provider updated us on March 30 that this was in process. We will update here when we have an update to share.

Problem Number 1: Holdings not showing up in overview -- reports a zero balance.
Problem Number 2: Cannot pick up more than one Pershing account (I have access to a margin account and an IRA rollover account but only the margin account shows up). When I try to add the second account it just tells me it is a duplicate or that there is a sign-in error.
Grrr.

I guess no one at mint is interested in getting this issue resolved? it has been 2 months since we were told that the web people were working on it, and almost a year since the issue was first brought up.

Looks like this still hasn't been resolved. I tried yesterday to access the Mint Pershing site with no luck. It appears that they still do not include the client site: (https://www2.netxselect.com) The mint representative sent me a standard email stating a few reasons why I can't access the Pershing site. The only one that applied was that Mint did not include the specific Pershing URL that I need.
This seems odd that after so long, the account can't be added for Pershing clients too.
Any additional information on this would be appreciated.

I really love Mint. I've told several friends and family members about it. And I know of several people now using the service because of my recommendations.
That said, Mint's lack of support on this issue has me super frustrated. Pershing is major broker and clearing house. Mint's interface for Pershing is broken and the problem was reported 8/11/2008, well over a year ago. To be precise, the current interface does work for Pershing Advisor accounts, but not Pershing client accounts. So I suppose it's not technically broken but I doubt that's what Mint intended.
Clearly Mint meant to support Pershing client accounts. At some point mint did the integration work, but mistakenly used the Pershing advisor URL rather than the Pershing client URL. This might really be a very simple fix (change the URL) but we don't know because Mint's given us no useful information on the issue.
After reading this thread it appears support requests to Mint are going completely unheeded. My email to feedback generated a generic automated response. Every once in a while someone from Mint posts to this thread and says a fix is expected soon. But it's been over a year!!! Saying you're going to do something and then not following through ain't cool. Can someone please tell us what the real ETA is? Some visibility into what's really going on would be very much appreciated, something like:
1) We thought our interface partner was going to deliver a solution but it turns out there was a misunderstanding and we don't have an accurate eta.
2) We're actively working the issues but it's taken over a man year of development and we can't really provide an accurate ETA.
3) We've never been working on this problem although we had good intentions. We fibbed during our last update but now we're coming clean and letting you know this isn't a priority for us so don't hold your breath for a solution.
4) Jeez, we thought users of our service would take a hint from this thread and our non responses to help queries. Why don't you just go away and leave us alone?
Sorry about the sarcasm, but as I said... I'm frustrated. If Pershing is too small of an institution for Mint to worry about fixing the interface, I get it. I won't be thrilled, but I won't waste my time looking for help and writing support requests. Please... just tell us the truth.
Just to summarize again, here's the problem:
Mint's interface points to https://www.netxinvestor.com which is for PERSHING ADVISORS
Mint's interface should point to https://www2.netxselect.com which is for PERSHING CLIENTS
Thx -Mike

I am also waiting for a response to this issue. my investments are with pershing.
when i asked customer service the response was:
delete the account and try again.
this service would be great if I could access my investments. it's the reason i signed up - so i could have everything in one place. otherwise I'll find something else.

This should be a relatively easy fix. The domain https://www2.netxselect.com/home_UNIVERSAL.htm is not syncing (or showing up) at Mint.com.
C'mon folks - this site even works for Bank of America's My Portfolio function. The functionality is there, but Mint's employees just are not making it happen.
Please fix and update.

For folks plumbing this thread:
The Pershing consumer site (netxselect.com) worked, at least until early Jan '10. It stopped working about two weeks ago. I've got an open ticket with the Minters to get it back online.

Same here; worked 3 weeks ago, and now stopped. Sent response to CS.
Could it be that the login order for Pershing is: financial org #, UID, P/W.
Mint's order on their add form is backwards.

Just wanted to note that I've updated my Pershing account today, 2/3/2010 (for the first time in 3 weeks). I never heard from Mint, but I guess they fixed it? I'll wait a few updates before closing my ticket.

I still can't update. I keep getting a "temporary sign in error" during the "establishing a connection" phase. Did you have to delete & restart your account? Did you do anything differently? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Mine works too now. Thx to mint, but I had to find out because I was subscribed to this thread. No thx to mint support for notifying me, or follow-up. What's the point of case #s if they don't use them to track and follow-up.
Note: I had deleted and re-added the www.netxclient.com account.

This is interesting (frustrating!)
I have a Pershing account but can't log-in using netxclient.com. only netxselect via netxinvestor.com works when I go directly to the log-in websites. Mint.com's account setup using netxinvestor.com doesn't work. Have you guys been able to connect via the "Pershing" account set up option that directs to netxinvestor.com
