I think a mobile/iPhone version of Mint would be very beneficial for people who travel frequently. Of course the visual trending tools would probably not fit the screen but the overview, recent transactions, and any other future text-based reports would be great.

I am a mobile fanatic, but I haven't even been able to get Mint's SMS features to work. I'd like that first please.

I just signed up for it and after activating it, it said that is connected to my phone. I still haven't received anything besides the registration code and approval but we'll see. Is there a charge for this?

I think it would be a good thing, if they implement nightly auto-refresh of accounts. No one wants to sign on with a mobile device and have to wait while all their accounts refresh.

Glad this is up front on the suggestion page. I have been using mint since Nov 07 and would love a way to access mint with my PDA's unlimited data plan. The website loads, but not well at all. Things are just all over the place on the screen.
Either a small install for a windows mobile application that could go out and grab the data, or an alternative link that loads the data smaller. Just a summary account page or something, I don't need graphs on the go I can spend the 30 seconds on my laptop for that. www.mint.com/winmobile for windows mobile plz..

Tried on my new 3G... it seems to be at least mostly functional, but it's sort of a pain to use for much beyond a "quick" check of account balances or looking at transactions. Much of the UI is slow and requires lots of zooming in or out... and it's crashed MobileSafari a time or two.
Gotta say, switching to this Buxfer thing is tempting.

Mint is PERFECT for creating an iPhone app. I know the Mint development team is busy, but it'd be a HUGE draw for Mint if there was an iPhone app. Many people would sign up for Mint.

Mobile access to Mint, whether via iPhone App, or just iPhone-enabled webpage, would be very useful for me. At the very least the Overview on my iPhone would be wonderful to have.

I agree, an iPhone App is absolutely essential for mint. I have a Pageonce.com account which could store all of my banking information. While it doesn't give me the great trending tools and detail that Mint does, it has an iPhone app that would let me view balances quickly. Currently I don't use Pageonce for any of my financials and I don't really want to. Instead, I'd love to see a Mint app that would at least show the overview page and ideally be able to view recent transactions (even if you couldn't update the category or name like you can on the web version).
Please develop this! :)

An application would probably be better since Safari does not support flash.

I believe they do auto-refresh. I've gone days without logging in and when I finally do, all the accounts say their info is one day old. It would be really cool is they could add the ability to choose how often Mint refreshed your accounts automatically, but I could imagine that might be a lot for their servers to bear.

it doesnt even need to be iphone specific. just a mobile site. lots of fancy sites that have lots of flash and other stuff have stripped down mobile pages that work with most smart phones. its easier to check my espn fantasy football team on my phone than it is at work.
