There are some transactions I have made with my Citi credit card that are being listed twice in Mint's transaction list. I checked my statement, and was only billed once. What gives?

I am having the same issue with my First Merit checking account only it has listed the same transaction 3 times on different dates. Is there a way to delete the 2 incorrect ones (the one that are not listed on my bank's statement) ?

I'm having a similar problem to you all save the fact that the duplicate transaction is on the same date as the statement and it's with my Wachovia account. It initially did not show twice but when I changed the category *poof* duplicate transaction. Now my spending chart is skewed...

I have this same problem with my M&T Bank Visa Card.

I've only noticed it with my NYSC Gym membership. The odd thing is that it doesn't happen every month. The doubles, for example are May, Oct '07, Sept '07, but no other months.

I've also noticed it with other payments.

This problem continues to date for FirstMerit transactions. Mint continues to fail to act despite numerous bug reports by myself.

I'm having the same issue.
If i change the category of a transaction it will create a dupe transaction next time i log in.

Same problem on my atm/debit account. Pre-authorizations appear multiple times both before and after the transaction actually clears. It makes the budget and spending features complete useless.

I had this issue also.

It duplicated all kinds of stuff, no rhyme or reason on what it duplicated either. Mint was no help, I finally had to delete my account and re-sign up.

Bump... anyone at Mint care to respond (or better yet FIX THIS)?

Guys,

We would need the following details to address your issues with duplicated transactions:

1. Mint Email Address
2. Bank name and account type where the duplicates happen

Note: Please send the above to feedback@mint.com

For the meantime, you may edit duplicates to exclude them from your calculations. Editing duplicate transactions feature currently only supports marking duplicates *one at a time*. Using the "Edit Multiple" option is not advisable at the moment since we still have an open bug with this.

Also, we are doing a great deal of back-end work to minimize duplicates. However, you would understand that issues arising from how banks record transactions are beyond our control.

Additional Note: To distinguish a duplicate tagged transactions, this will be categorized as "Duplicate" and would appear greyed out. To revert it back just click "Edit Details", uncheck "This is a duplicate" then "I'm Done" to save the changes.
