New Pull Down Menu Problems

The new pull down menu is horrible. I was trying to change my "NO Categories" to the correct category and quickly gave up. The pull down menu closes and doesn't allow me to choose the category without going through the pull down select at least 5 times before it takes. Obviously to make mint truly useful to me, I need all my transactions properly labeled, but this stopped me today and will definitely keep me from using it in the future. Very frustrating...

I'm on IE 6, and the dropdown keeps closing on me for no reason.

Same issue with IE7, must be a bug.

No issues for me, I'm using Firefox 2.

My suggestion though is to just type in the name of the category instead of trying to find it on the list. Once you start typing a list of possibilities will come up under the text box, you can use the arrow keys to choose the right one and hit enter to pick it. Of course, this kinda assumes you're familiar with the categories, but even if you're not you can guess and if nothing comes up in the drop down you know you're wrong. (or just guess the first letter and go down the list to find it). And if you type in the name of a category that isn't a real category it won't let you click "Save". Seems like the new layout is in preparation for letting us create custom categories, I'm just speculating though.

I have both Firefox and IE and the menu keeps closing up for me. I have found that I can start to type in the category and the system gives me all the options so that's my work around for the time being. I'm still trying to figure out why the math is off. Why $35 transaction keeps getting displayed as $40 or why a $200 transaction keeps popping up as $210?

Any ideas/suggestions?

Same problem here since about last Friday (5/16). The pull-down menu opens, but when I move my mouse to make a different category or sub-category selection, the menu disappears. VERY ANNOYING!!! And, of course, in order for Mint.com to be useful, the transaction Categories must be correct & consistent.

The bug has been filed for this (no eta yet on resolution). The issue, however, doesn't appear to happen quite as often with Firefox 2.
