It appears that Trends is not reporting all the values found in Transactions. In my case, it is both excluding whole categories (Taxes) and ignoring values within a category (Food and Dining is way off).

I'm having a similar problem. Mine was happening with the "life insurance" category. Budget seemed to have problem recognizing it because when I looked at the categorization in the budget it listed "life insurance" under "auto," which obviously is incorrect. May be a similar issue for some other people.

Hi,
Bugs have been opened for this...doesn't appear to be an issue with all customers at this point.

I notice that my trends graphics/data appear to vary depending on when I access them. Some times, a purchase from 'Sams Club' will appear under Groceries and hence Food & Dining, some times it will not. Some times my EZPass will show up under Auto, some times it will not.
Also, Gas & Fuel does not appear under the Auto category.

I signed in this morning and my expenses where about half for the previous month. Only about 5 categories are showing up on the trends for the past month, where all of them are showing up for the transactions. This gets me worried now that I am not keeping receipts to track if this info is lost.
The trends are not totalling all the transactions, even though they show up when I click into one of the trends and it list all the transactions. What gives?

i'm missing car payments and different checks will appear and then disappear...hmmm...
It was consistent in showing everything the other day....

The transactions appear and disappear each time I load Trends - sometimes everything seems to be accounted for, at other points things are missing from labels, seemingly at random.

I have figured out why it's behaving in this manner. Mint imports transactions in two different ways. Sometimes it imports spending with parenthesis or just as a positive number. Because of this non uniform manner, the site sometimes causes these "bugs." So some of the payments that should be on your spending report don't show up because the Mint system thinks they are actually income.

I am also seeing this problem. Usually the problem presents itself as 2 transactions from the same source (in this case the same day, but this also sometimes happens if the transactions have the same name but different dates) and only one appears in trends although both appear when I look for transactions from that merchant. If I change the name of one of the transactions then both show up independently in the trends for the correct categorization.

I'm seeing the same thing today. Transactions are correctly categorized but not showing up in the trends page. Makes it difficult to rely on Mint for my budget when I the #s aren't accurate.
