If you're having an issue adding a Merrill Lynch account, please make sure that you're choosing the correct option on the site.

Merrill Lynch choices on Mint.com (http://mint.com/):
Merrill Lynch - Benefits OnLine
Merrill Lynch - BISYS Retirement Website
Merrill Lynch Business Credit Card
Merrill Lynch Direct
Merrill Lynch OnLine
Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith - Retirement
Merrill Visa Credit Card
ML Stern Investment Securities

If you are being confronted with a security box asking you for questions and answers when adding a bank or credit card, below are some tips that might help you answer them.

1. Answer as many questions as you put on file when you registered with your bank.

2. The number of questions you need to answer may be less than the number of form fields displayed on the page.

3. If you've forgotten the questions you were asked when you created the account, you can try going to your bank's actual website to retrieve the answers (some banks offer this).

4. If no to #3 above, perhaps you can try calling your institution to get the answers to the questions presented.

Additional Notes:
Security Questions may be case-sensitive.

Entering the security questions in the same order as the drop down box provided may be beneficial.

If you encounter a problem, please contact us at https://wwws.mint.com/contact.event with:

a) email address of your account
b) the bank account option from the list above that you are trying to add
c) the specific error message you are receiving
d) The branded name of the product

I am trying to access the ml.myretirementsite with the correct username and password but I keep getting rejected with Mint questioning if I have the right username and password. I visited ml.myretirementsite and logged in to confirm that the username and password are correct. Is there a bug or some security measure that Mint can't get past?

I'm trying to add my merrill lynch online account (and linked subaccounts).

The accounts show up in my Mint.com summary, with balances. However, none of the transactions download or show up in my transactions. Each account and subaccount has a message next to it saying there are problems, with a "Click for details" link for each. The link takes me to the Add Account screen. So from there I (re) enter my account number and password. It gets past authentication, but during "downloading transactions" it fails and gives me the "we're having problems at the moment try back later" message.

Frustrating. I've always been waaaaaay too lazy to buy quicken. I love the idea of a web-based service that automatically pulls everything in which i can then slice and dice, analyze, and access all the time from anywhere. But without my merrill accounts it's useless b/c that's my bank/checking/savings, etc.

I've tried several times with no luck. ML also has locked me out of my account as it is clearly getting the account number but is doing something with the password incorrectly.

Access to the account goes through here (generically)

https://www.fs.ml.com/login/

Suggestions?

I'm having the same difficulty, and its keeping me from using Mint.

Mint folks... I would _pay_ for this service! If you can solve this problem.

Please update us ML people on this issue.

I can't get any ML website to work. Any suggestions as to fixing this? I have a normal ML CMA account.

I cannot get mint to display my Merrill Lynch On line investment account. It returns a Temporary issue problem. I believe ML changed their website recently and the address you list associated with adding a ML account no longer takes you to the log in page. I can log in with no issues on the ML website?

what gives?

Agreed. Highly frustrating. The login that the various Merrill URLs take you to is:

https://olui2.fs.ml.com/Login/Login.aspx?SITESRC=MLD

and the username and password there work no problem. Not so on Mint.

Have sent (another) ticket to the help desk. Let's see if they respond otherwise Mint is not useful to me. I do EVERYTHING via my merrill accounts...

Same problem here! Need to logon to this URL:

Until this works, Mint.com is a NO-GO!

I'm really frustrated. I love everything about Mint so far in the week or so I've been using it, but this ML issue is a show stopper for me.

Just want to add my frustration with not being able to connect with Merrill. I too have a MLonline account(s) but I tried all the Merrill options with Mint without success and eventually found my way here to see that I am not alone. Without Merrill for me like those above, Mint is useless and thats unfortunate as Mint fills a niche that no other online product does. Are you listening???????????????????

All of my other accounts the web address listed below the account info to log in takes you to the log in page. The Merrill Lynch one take you to a page that you have to click "log in" to get you to the next page to log in and I wonder if that is the problem. As many have listed above, the log in web site apparently not where mint.com is trying to log us into...
