View Full Version : Don't see your bank listed?

What should I do if my bank is not supported?

When you can’t find your bank listed in search results during the add account process, there is a link in the add account process to request that we add your bank. Fill out this form, and we’ll email you as soon as your bank is supported.

Please do not use the Contact Us form for these requests.

Due to factors outside our control, including approval of the banks themselves, we cannot guarantee that your bank will be supported, but we will do our best. We add support for more banks and credit unions every week thanks to requests from customers like you.

Note: Mint.com doesn't support financial institutions or banks outside of the USA right now.

Please support my credit union! (http://www.securecu.org) I do the majority of my banking on it and wish I could see where all my money is going through Mint.

Anyway, Mint is awesome and I would love the full experience with all my banks.

Is there any way you could create a list of banks that are in the process of being added? That way we wouldn't bug you (ha, ha) with a bank that's already been requested, and be able to check the list to see if our bank is actually added to the database (instead of attempting to add it every day, like I've been doing. :)

I totally agree. I keep checking back to see if my bank has been added. It'd be nice to see if it was in the queue. I might just stop emailing and posting about it too.

Adding banks is tricky right now. We have to work with our provider on adding, something that is done by volume of support requests (from across the board, not just Mint) to add. We're doing our best to get as many as possible added/requested.

I need to be honest in stating that smaller banks & credit unions may take a lot more time. We will, however, attempt to notify customers when their bank(s) are supported.

and this is why I am dropping myMint, I understand you are getting your support for banks from Yodlee. I signed up for Yodlee service and that was 4 months ago. I STILL have gotten no support for my credit union. While I understand, sorta the need to support the BIG BANKS I and I believe some of us who use credit unions WILL NEVER again support BIG BANKS. A BIG BANK, who I will not name refused to let me open a savings account, that was the last straw for me! While I would like to try out myMint as this seems to be good resource for me I am tired of waiting for support for my Credit Union. Just because we are a smaller group dosen't mean we are less important! From reading posts on this subject from MyMint admin I feel thats exactly how they view us, but why am I surprised, its always like that-Go where the $$$ are and forget the rest. I'm scrapping my account as I'll be waiting for support for my credit union this time next year!

I just had to be honest that it might take longer with smaller banks and credit unions. As our provider has to work with requests from across their entire network, their ability to add will be based on volume of requests from said network.

is then done on a per bank basis... i can understand that on large banks since their sites/banking software is usually prosperity to them and I would imagine takes time. and it makes since to do them first since they support a larger user base per bank which translates into a large possible user base for your site.

i was wondering what about banks who use a more common online banking platform, eg First Century Bank (https://www.ebankhost.net/firstcentury/), New People's Bank (https://vault.newpeoplesbank.com/pbi_pbi1961/pbi1961.asp?Rt=051408897&LogonBy=connect3&PRMAccess=Account), and loads of others, developed by a third party, Information Tech, Inc (http://www.itiwnet.com/index.asp). I would think after you get one, the rest in this group would come quicker... but it could be the method I imagine you guys to support banks that misleads me into thinking this. anywho, if it is possible to support all the banks using this online platform easily, I would imagine that is would easily be equivalent to a few larger banks.

I understand what you are saying about your provider's request/addition ratio. But what I'm curious about, is a question I think I saw raised on another post.

My main bank (at this point) is Farmers & Miners Bank (VA), who uses onlinebank.com as their online banking service provider.

A search for onlinebank.com does pop up matches in Mint; wouldn't it be easier to add support on Mint for those accounts, as you're already linking to that site? I know my faher's bank also uses onlinebank.com for it's online banking, and except for the bank name at the end of the url, e.g. https://global1.onlinebank.com/vtg/login.htm?banktag=***** it's just like logging into my own account.

Just curious. Mint is a very helpful tool for the 9 accounts I can link; it's just missing a large part of my financial picture.

Thank you for the service you provide.

My bank (torringtonsavings.com) has their corp. portal at that address, and their actual online banking integration is done at onlinebank.com as is several thousand FCU's, CU's, and smaller banks. I think by supporting onlinebank.com you'll end up supporting all banks hosted by that service.

How does Mint determine a "Smaller" bank that gets "Lesser" service?

Just curious, cause, I like your service, but, I am impatient and do not think I can wait much longer to get my checking account into your system.

Thank you for taking the time to request the financial institutions that you would like Mint to support. We are adding support for about 100 new banks each month, and are trying to get back each of those who may the request. We are not perfect in our attempts to contact those who requested the banks, so please do what you can to stay in touch or periodically try adding the account within Mint.

Jason Kershaw [jason.kershaw@charterco.com]

The site does not recognize Charter Bank as a mortgage company, it has 1st Charter and Charter 1 which we are not affiliated with. It does recognize us as a Bank and will let you set up checking, savings and money market accounts but not the loan info. There may be a way to contact the site and have them add the Mortgage company to their list of recognized institutions. I will forward the link to our IT dept and see if there is something we can do from our end.

Similar to the onlinebank.com portal. A few credit unions I know use itsme247.com one of which is my main checking account. I hope this would be something easier do add as it is widely used.

Oh and another thing my CU is somewhat supported just out dated. Its in here as Steelcase Employees CU but has been for a while changed names to Community West CU and then has changed to use the itsme247 interface.

Love your site--am so excited to start using it, but unfortunately I can't link my checking account. Currently the only options available for Citizen's Bank in MA (https://www.citizensbankonline.com/) are for loans or retirement accounts. Since Citizen's is already linked with Mint, could you tell me when you plan to add checking/savings accounts?

First, I second the request for Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.

But more importantly, several people have asked about the possibility of a "pending" list so we know what banks are being worked on, etc. I haven't seen that addressed. Can an administrator please comment on this?

I would love to see Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union added for Chattanooga, TN residents (WWW.TVFCU.COM). Checking & savings accounts

This is a great service, but pretty worthless unless my primary bank is supported.

I would also love to see a "Pending" list as well.
Is there an administrator that could give an update on the pending list?

I understand where everyone is coming from - I too use smaller financial institutions as well as BIG BANKS. I have 10 accounts in my name (Loans, Mortages, Credit Cards, Checking and Savings accounts) but was only able to add ONE of the 10 to Mint.com. Now, I get that we're waiting for the smaller institutions to be added and I get that it might take a while - but for my 5 BIG BANK accounts, such as Citizens Bank New England, Salem Five and Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), among others -aren't available either - making Mint.com ultimately useless.

Granted, I did add my CitiCard account to this site, but what use is that to me when I could just log into their website and see more information than is offered here? If I can't compare anything, or see where I'm spending in relation to my other accounts...then there's no point - just another user name and password to remember.

Also note I understand that this is a beta site = not up and running completely, still working out kinks...yadda yadda.. but as many posted in many different forums, PLEASE LET US KNOW WHO YOU'RE WORKING WITH SO WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING OUR ACCOUNTS ON MINT.COM SOON. All we're looking for is a list of potential accounts to come.

Thanks.

Mint could be a great service that I would use often AND recommend to family and friends. But I can't seem to add my bank account - Syringa Bank. I can look it up, but Mint cannot draw down information. Not having the checking account leaves a major gap in managing my finances. I'm sure it's the same for other people too. I'd consider migrating to a nation wide bank, but given the turmoil in the financial sector these days, I am comfortable leaving my money where it is and leaving Mint or try checking in until my bank can get accessed. But the potential for Mint's services is attractive.

National accounts or national account systems (NAS) provide a complete and consistent conceptual framework for measuring the economic activity of a nation (or other geographic area in the broader term social accounts). These include detailed underlying measures that rely on double-entry accounting. By construction such accounting makes the totals on both sides of an account equal even though they each measure different characteristics (Ruggles, 1987). Whilst sharing many common principles with business accounting, national accounts are firmly based on economic concepts.

I think the most useful idea in this thread is to create a page with a list of prospective banks currently in Mint's queue.

Given your developers' impressive grasp of web 2.0 technologies, I imagine the ability to create a dynamic list of prospective bank alliances is feasible.

And given the amount of activity around this issue, it would undoubtedly be a huge value add for users.

I love the idea of this site, but without a linkage to my checking account, it's basically useless to me.

I've seen some posts about Citizens and TD Banknorth not being supported. Both are huge in the northeast. Are we going to see integration with them this year? (Citizens first, please :) )

Until then, how about an option to manually enter account balances and transactions? It's frustrating to have money or bills that simply aren't online and to have that information excluded from mint. Or maybe I'm missing where I can do that? If I could do that, I could continue to use mint while you guys worked out the deals with the banks. But as it is, my account is pretty much dead in the water.

First I'd like to say the site is great and I realize it's a constant work in progress. However, I still wanted to post a request to add my bank. Without being able to add them as an account I am missing a large piece of my personal finances. It's great that I can track my loans and credit card but if I can't see the cash flow from my checking/savings as I pay those debts, then I might as well use Excel. Here are links to the Credit Union's homepage and they're "Who We Are" page:

http://www.fnefcu.org/fnefcu/Index.asp

http://www.fnefcu.org/fnefcu/Who.asp

I also agree with some other folks' suggestion that users should be able to manually adjust their checking/savings accounts until their banks have been added.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

This service is so close to being great, with new substantive additions (investments) is looking better all the time. It's a wonder to me that there is STILL no manual transaction upload functionality. This most basic element of many inferior programs is ideally replaced here by automatic synchronization of accounts. But with the current process of negotiating each and every financial institution's authentication individually, it will always be a step behind services like (egh) Quicken until it makes allowance for the fact that it will likely *never* have compatibility with all institutions or transaction types. Any truly useful, mature automation framework must consider the need for manual intervention.

Please add FidelityBank.com... There are 'other' Fidelity institutions, but not mine... :(

The forerunner of Fidelity Bank--The Fidelity Investment Company--opened its doors for business in Wichita in 1905 as a mortgage lender. In 1942 Homer C. Bastian, Kansas' first director of the Federal Housing Administration, recognized Wichita's growth potential as a trade area. He left the FHA and purchased one-half interest in Fidelity Investment.

Fidelity has grown from $32 million to more than $1.8 billion in assets and over 400 employees. There are currently twenty retail banking locations in Wichita and Derby; with Wal-Mart locations open seven days a week. Since 2004, Fidelity Bank has opened five branches in the Oklahoma City area.

With more than 234,000 members and nearly $5.8 billion in assets, we are the eighth largest U.S. credit union out of nearly 10,000 based on asset size.

Is this a possibility? Don't get me wrong... I appreciate what you guys have created; however, Mint is so complete, that the only area of my life that it is not tracking is my car loan

I am head over heels in love with Mint, but, not being able to add my Car Loan is killing me. You guys have spoiled me by making my entire financial World so convenient, that now it is driving me nuts that there is only one account out of 10 that I cannot add. Regardless, thank you guys so much for your efforts. You truly have turned my financial game around. I feel better prepared, notified and geared up with a whole new fiancial arsenal. My bank name is First National Bank of Altavista, which isn't just a small bank as there are 13 locations. They have online banking and billpay.

My primary bank is a credit union. The first time I tried adding it, Mint couldn't locate it at all. I placed a request to add, and today I noticed that Mint found it. That's the good part.

However, when I try to add the login info, it comes back with an error of "Wrong username or password?" I know the info I entered is correct, and have no problem logging into the credit union's site. I'm thinking that this is an issue where the bank is added to the system, but some settings aren't quite right.

Has anyone else had this type of problem? And if so, what is the fix?

I couldn't agree more. This list of banks that have been added thus far, would be beneficial for both the Mint User and the Designers, in that it would cut down on the confusion of the User, while simultaneously cutting down the amount of requests that are simply questions as to whether their bank has been added since their last request. After a master list was made once, it could just be updated every week, two weeks, or month w/ whatever new banks, billers, mortgagees, etc. had been added since the last update. My question is WHY NOT? It wouldn't take much time, it would help both parties involved, and create more time for production in areas that actually need it.

Is there any way you could create a list of banks that are in the process of being added? That way we wouldn't bug you (ha, ha) with a bank that's already been requested, and be able to check the list to see if our bank is actually added to the database (instead of attempting to add it every day, like I've been doing. :)

I can NOT gain access from Mint to my Credit Union. I have been in touch with my Credit Union, NRLFCU. They have told me that they have tried to contact Mint to get themselves (NRLFCU) to work with Mint. In addition to the username/password, NRLFCU also uses secure web site has been CyberTrust Certified and incorporates data encryption to ensure transaction security and privacy. As an additional security measure, we use an Internet Server as a firewall to prevent unauthorized access to our site. On NRL's website they also mention this: "We use multi-factor authentication. You may opt to download the TraceSecurity toolbar on a trusted computer in lieu of using the registry key or the virtual keyboard."

I have been a member of NRLFCU for almost 30 years now and really do not want to change banks. Mint has become an invaluable tool for a few other accounts I have and would LOVE to incorporate NRLFCU into Mint.

I have been asking for NRL to work with Mint and Mint to work with NRL for months with no luck.

What do I have to do to get them to work with each other ? I KNOW there has to be other banks using the same security methods that work with Mint.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

COMMUNICATE REAL INFORMATION

Hey folks,

This service/ site has lots of potential, but it should support people who do not conform to big banking practices (BofA for example, is one bank of many, but not the only one. In addition, many people who belong to these larger banks still belong to smaller banks).

If there is not an efficient procedure or practice of adding banks for new users who join, it is totally pointless. I cannot get value out of this site unless my bank(s) are added but until then, this site has no value. I am speaking for myself but also for the thousands of other people who are in the same boat.

What a new user like myself would like (to keep me interested and on the site) is an explanation of how you are adding new banks. Am I waiting a day, a month, or several years? How many people are working on it? How many banks are being added a day/ week? Otherwise, many people will just give up. I asked about my bank being added and got what appeared to be a personalized response. Seems like a waste of time to have a personalized response to my request. Maybe an automated response so people can focus on what really matters, adding banks.

"Your bank has been added to the list. It has been requested by x number of people. It is x on the list to be added. It will take approximately two months to be added. We will email you when this process is complete"

my2
add: Danvers Bank (Massachusetts) please

We have already begun automating the ranking process of new site requests. Here's how it works....

If you're requesting to add a bank that we do not currently support, have selected "Please support my financial institution" in the contact form, https://wwws.mint.com/contact.event#contact-form , and included the Bank Name and Login URL, you may not receive any further reply from us. In an effort to streamline and improve our process your add bank request has been automatically entered into our database. We will work to get your requested financial institution supported on Mint.com. When your requested financial institution is supported we will attempt to notify you via email. We can't speculate with dates when a specific institution will or can be added.

The main reasons a site cannot be added are that it is technically not possible due to multi-factor authentication issues or the financial institution blocks third party aggregators on purpose.

Although we support a large percentage of the US assets, there is a long tail for small banks and credit unions that we do not yet support. We support over 8,000 financial institutions, banks and credit unions at this time. We're working on more efficient and effective ways of adding more banks and financial institutions. We are adding more each month. We're also working on alternative solutions for users to input data for those institutions we do not support so they can utilize Mint without full support.

I submitted a request for this bank over two months ago. I have been patiently waiting. I wish you would inform us of the status of adding banks. Your site is useless to me without this bank. Please let me know if you are going to add it. I have no way of knowing whether you got my first request to addit. You ask us to only submitt one contact form. How do I know if you even got my first request r are acting on it?

I've posted about how Verity Credit Union (http://www.veritycu.com) has been trying get on the participation list for Mint.com-- only to get an automated response after being "personally" contacted by your Director of Consumer Advocacy via our corporate blog, Our Voices (http://blog.veritycu.com). Well, two posts and many requests from members later, I'm using the forum to ask what Verity needs to do to get Mint.com integration.

Here is a link to my latest post about our quest to get Mint.com integration. (http://blog.veritycu.com/2008/10/17/someday-my-mint-will-come-an-update) I've been telling our members to keep submitting those online request forms on your site in the hopes that more than one Verity voice can get things moving.

We have potential new members that are holding off because we aren't integrating with Mint-- and I see that you've got Mint users that are abandoning their Mint accounts because you don't integrate with their credit union or small bank. I'm guessing that Mint is not listing the financial institutions being requested by customers because the list is long and showing it would leave a bad impression and show how Mint is not as ubiquitous as it markets itself to be.

I second this, I quite like Verity Credit Union and there's a lot of financial information that just isn't available for Mint to make choices about me properly without it's supporting my account info with Verity. I am new to Mint and really like it, but I also can't get my credit union added. This is how wesabe.com gets around the issues with adding smaller banks and credit unions.

"Go to your bank's web site. Download an account statement to your computer. Preferred format: OFX, Microsoft Money, or Quicken. Also supported: QFX, QIF."

They have you upload your statements from your bank. Can we do this on Mint?

It is added as a credit card and investment but not as checking or savings account. I have both and would like to add them both. Also, the banks new web site is apab.com. One of the suggestions I received was to enter the security questions precisely how they were in my bank. THere were only two actual questions that were in my account. After months of requesting to have this Bank added to Mint.com's Financial Arsenal (via the correct adding forrm and multiple Forum Posts); I became frustrated and contacted this bank myself, and they said that they were more than willing to accomodate a "financial aggregator" such as Mint. So I guess if Mint is able, then the ball is in your courtThere is an Access ID that must be filled in, as well as an image that must be selected, and then a password. The setup is almost identical to that of Paychex, Inc. (which Mint has already added as an institution)

Please add Conway National Bank... I know it is a little local bank in Conway, SC, but I use it a lot...

Here is an idea... why can't we do something like they do with quicken? Let me download my info into the software and let it link up that way? Instead of putting in the info, which is awesome, let's do some sort of a file download... of course, I guess the drawback would be that it won't automatically update... but something is better than nothing, right?

If one of your bank / accounts is not listed though other accounts are there, click the link "tell us about it" then input the Bank Name, Bank Website's URL, Bank's Login URL and Country, then check the necessary boxes on what accounts you want us to support. We will keep you posted for any update and when it is already supported.

Hey Scott,
I am Scott also and my bank is Summit also, and have been waiting almost as long as you have for my bank. Summit Federal Credit Union to be added, with no luck and no reason why.
I've kind of been giving Mint the benefit of the doubt and assuming it's my bank that won't allow it, but it would be nice to know if that's the case and I can just give it up. Of course the other issue is if they would just allow importing transactions or manual entry I could probably work with that, but I see that's been asked for, for a long time in another part of this forum with nothing done yet.:(

Mint seems far more intersted in putting up blog posts and adding new "features" than actually supporting their customers. If you use BOA or Wells Fargo you're golden. Use a local bank or credit union and you aren't worth their time. I've been waiting on 2 credit unions for about a year. One will, occasionally, allow me to re-enter all of my information and grab the account totals, but the transactions never go through. The other they simply don't support. I've been using Quicken Online for a while now, and it's improved substantially since I started using it. I'd suggest trying it out.

I'm not hearing any response about the account being added from my credit union or mint. So I'm not even sure who to blame. I get married this August and my fiance banks with a large credit union that Mint does have, so I suppose I can start banking with them once we get married. Nonetheless, Mint should really get its act together (i.e. adding more banks, allowing manual uploads, etc). If this continues, some software hotshot out there will pass them like their standing still.

Mint has previously supported access for the FirstEnergy Corp. Savings Plan, which was accessed through fesavingsplan.csplans.com

A few months back, ING took over all FirstEnergy Corp. Savings Plans and ever since, Mint has been unable to connect and update my account. The NEW site for accessing our accounts is https://fesavingsplan.ingplans.com

I have made a few requsts in the past to have this added, but I still don't see it in the list, nor have I heard any updates. The old link for fesavingsplan.csplans.com can be completely removed, as it is no longer active, and can be replaced with fesavingsplan.ingplans.com. While I may be the only one making this request, there are several co-workers of mine who are waiting for this addition before they join Mint.

Here's a frustrating one, I've been using MINT successfully for about a year with all my accounts (except mortgage) working. Genisys Credit Union changes software so now MINT can't access it; so all my good data gets more obsolete every day. The frustrating part is not knowing if MINT will add the "new" Genisys today, tomorrow, or next year.

The good news is Genisys now has its own aggregation system so maybe I'll just switch to that one.

I've put in a request for Desert Schools FCU (www.desertschools.org) to be included. I also e-mailed the credit union thinking that perhaps it's something on their end that's keeping it from being added. However, I got this reply from the CU:

Thank you for the email about Mint.com. We have made several attempts over the past year to Mint.com to add us onto their approved list but have not received any responses from Mint.com. We are suggesting to our member to contact Mint.com and let them know that you would like to have Desert Schools Federal Credit Union added as a financial institution. We apologize for this inconvenience and hopefully Mint.com will add us on their site soon.

Thank you,
Cathy
Online Services Supervisor

So I have to wonder what's the hold up if the financial institutions are actually contacting Mint to try and help out their customers/members, yet Mint won't respond to the requests?

Please add Nodaway valley bank.

website: www.nvb.com

I called NVB tech support and they do not support "direct connect" which is needed for most bank software, including iBank, which I was trying to use at the time. But since Mint uses the login method of information retrieval I think they should be able to support it soon.

I REALLY want to start using Mint for all my finances by Jan 1 so I can track the entire 2010 fiscal year. Hopefully enough other people request this!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADD NODAWAY VALLEY BANK! :(

Wedbush Morgan Securities

www.wedbush.com

I've requested it a couple of times in different places, but I always get the same canned response. Is there any way to get more info on what is preventing a particular bank from being added?

Nationwide Mortgage was just bought by PNC Bank - the security questions on the PNC Mortgage site do not match Mint's questions.
