Just wondering if there is anything in the works to add tradeking.com to your list of supported brokerages.

I see that Tradeking has now been added into the list. Thanks very much for that. However, I am unable to log into it, it keeps telling me that it needs to very some information first and that I should log into TK to see if there are any questions to answer. I checked and there are none. Could you please look into this?

Thanks!

I called tradeking about this today.

1. Trying to add TradeKing to your mint account will disable your tradeking login ability. the system detects the multiple attempts at connection as a potential hack and disables access.

2. TradeKing knows this is a problem and said "we're working with them to see how we can make it work out"

There is an option to add Tradeking alright, but this is what shows afterwards:

Mint does not yet support your bank.
Click okay to remove these accounts.

Which is sad, and this is kinda a deal breaker to me as i would like to have my "investments" added to the over view of my accounts.

Here's hoping that Tradeking will be properly added to Mint.

Here's hoping that Tradeking will be properly added to Mint.Sounds like this is a Tradeking issue more than a Mint issue, or at least something partway between. You should contact Tradeking to see if they're working on the problem.

I got tired of waiting and ditched tradeking in favor of thinkorswim.com.

Figured out a way to kinda show my investments.

Since the money i use from my investments come from a regular checkings account (which is handled by mint perfectly), i just categorize those transfers under Finance.

Is there any update with this issue yet? I'd really like to be able to use Tradeking with mint.

I really want to be able to use TradeKing too. I saw it was in Mint, so I went and signed up, came back to Mint, only to be greeted with "Not Supported". Very not cool.

Mint, please work with TradeKing and get this supported so I can do trades and have them tracked with Mint.

it's not mint, it's tradeking. i was a tradeking user before coming to work at mint. their security methods prevent us from getting your data for you. it's a real bummer, because i really liked their service. i ended up switching to thinkorswim and haven't had any problems getting my data into mint.

i'm still a big fan of tradeking and hope they find a way to allow 3rd party data aggregation.

Have you guys tried working with them at all?

Tradeking is a major discount broker and needs to be supported.

Is there any chance, or is this request dead in the water.

BTW...who is your provider that links up the bank accounts?

Any news? Any hope? Anything? Please, please work with Tradeking to get them to provide a yodlee feed again so we can get our minty goodness!!

Count me in.

I agree with MachineGhost. Switching to another brokerage should not be the only option.

I encourage everyone who wants TradeKing to play nicely with mint.com to post a message in this post (http://community.tradeking.com/forum/topics/1228/forum_posts) on TradeKing's forum. There is not any mention of mint.com in TradeKing's forum. We need to make sure TradeKing is aware of how many people want Mint.com support.

Here is an update from a TradeKing employee that was posted in the TradeKing forums on December 10:

The latest: We reached out to Mint.com; they told us they are currently upgrading their back-end software and will not be able to add TradeKing data until that is complete (estimated spring 2009). However, they assure us they will work with us at that time to make TradeKing data available in the service.

Any updates on getting tradeking and mint.com to work in harmony? This would be a great combination and I am sure there are thousands of mint users who would like to add tradeking to their mint.com account.

I also want the ability to get my Tradeking data on mint.

Tradeking and Mint both have said that they are working on a solution. On the Tradeking forum they said that it could be coming in Spring of 09.

It looks like Mint and Tradeking wont be happening..

Thank you for contacting TRADEKING.

TradeKing would not be participation with Mint.com because we would not be able to control a third party with security and dispersement of sensitive monetary information. Thank you again for your interest and for considering TradeKing.

Here is the post on the TradeKing forum from April 24, 2009 that daviddusseault is referring to:

I spoke with Mint yesterday and they assured me they are close to having a solution that will work with TradeKing and other banks that use an on screen keyboard. I was not able to get an exact date, however they are in the process of testing and my guess is we may see a solution over the next 1-2 months.

Mint actually relies on a company called Yodlee to retrieve your financial information, and this is also where your private passwords for your various financial institutions are stored. My guess is some of the development is also being done by Yodlee which is why the process is taking a bit longer as there are multiple parties involved.

If there were something we could do to speed this process up we would, unfortunately we at TradeKing are anxiously waiting just like everyone else.

Be Good,
Dave Dusseault
Director, Business Development

Do the Mint.com administrators ever read these forums? If so, can you give us an update?

"Spring 2009" is almost over. We are within the "1-2 month" timeframe from April 24. Does this mean that TradeKing support is imminent?

really anxious for tradeking support...have been eagerly awaiting the arrival since I heard the news of the supposed "possible spring release" from 4 or 5 months ago. Any updates here, a timeline maybe?

The TradeKing forum (http://community.tradeking.com/forum/topics/1228/forum_posts?page=2) has been very active with people expressing their anticipation of TradeKing <> Mint support. Dave Dusseault gave this update on August 28, 2009:

All -

Thanks we are still communicating with Mint. To add some clarity, based on early conversations with Mint we were originally hoping they would have a solution that would work with our log in "keyboard" process. However after some testing was done we soon learned that the connection was not working. Very recently this project became a co-development effort, and we are in the process of looking at a variety of different ways to connect with Mint that offers the user the best experience, and also does not violate the security standards we have in place.

We hear you loud and clear and understand the frustration. Realistically a solution could be 60 days away or it could be several months away. I'll know more in the next two weeks and promise to update.

Thanks,
Dave Dusseault

Be sure to voice your opinion so that both companies know how big of a demand there is for integration between these two great products.

Any update on this?

For the record, their virtual keyboard login thing is stupid and I'd disable it if I could.

Sure it'll stop keyloggers, but there are trojans that can just take a small screenshot around the cursor with each click.

OK, if their virtual keyboard login is a problem, what about using the mobile login page:

m.tradeking.com

Username, password, PIN, all in standard text fields...
