Hi,

I had a couple of transactions from Paypal that I switched to the Business Services category, however, when I go to look at my spending for the month, only one of them show up as an expense, the rest do not appear in my spending trends section at all! Originally for some reason only two were auto categorized as Paypal and the rest I had to manually change.

Is there some way to refresh the spending tab so that it finds the rest of the Paypal expenses? The really STRANGE thing is that when I click on the Business Services section of the pie chart and then double click to open the transactions, all of them are listed there fine! But only the amount for one shows in the chart.

Please help, this is very frustrating!

Thanks:(

Do the transactions still show as categorized properly on the transactions' page? Has anything changed on the spending trends' page yet/

I'm having a similiar problem. I have transactions catergorized in the spending trends pie as business services, I double click the merchant and update the category for the transaction. When I go back into spending trends the transaction is still miscategorized as business services in the pie chart, but if I double click the merchant it shows the correct category that I previously updated it to. WHat gives?

I can confirm this -- my spending trends pie doesn't update per the changes to transaction categories that I've made. Is there any way to force spending trends to recalculate?

The categories usually stick on the transactions tab, but take a long time to update to the budget/trends sections.

How long is long? Days, Weeks, Months?

I'm dealing w/ the same issue. I categories certain grocers as restaurants instead, walmart as groceries instead of shopping, etc. to make more sense when comparing against how our family works the budget.

I categorize several transactions in the "No category" group and they still show up as "No Category" when I got to Trends. In the transaction view they look categorized correctly. I just signed up today so I don't know if it takes a while. Looks like a bug to me.

Updating my accounts on the Accounts tab made the categories show up correctlty in Trends. Weird.

Hi, I'm having the same problem as the folks above, plus one other snafu. Not only do my manual re-categorizations not take effect in the spending pie chart, but I've also noticed that the Overview page, where you can choose which categories to put up front as budgets, is sometimes inaccurate.

For example: Clothing and accessories is one budget I chose to keep fronted on the Overview page. On the 1st of the month, I purchased a piece of clothing for $9.77, and it came through accurately categorized as Clothing & Accessories. The bar on the Overview page, however, says I spent $20. When I click on that budget, it brings me to the itemized page for the category, and it shows only one transation for the correct amount -- $9.77. So I have no idea were the $20 amount is coming from. I haven't purchased anything else that might be coming through as pending.

I see these complaints go back quite a few months -- where is Mint.com on fixing the issue? I realize the site is new, but this is certainly a deal-breaking kind of problem. I chose Mint over other sites because I liked the categorization feature so much.

Thanks!

Updating my accounts on the Accounts tab made the categories show up correctly in Trends. Weird.
I can confirm that this works. After using the "Update" tab on the Accounts screen all of my categories displayed properly in Trends tab.
