I'm still having problems with my business expenses. First, i'm not sure how i'm supposed to handle them in Mint. Second, sometimes I split a transaction between my work paying for it and me. Aka, if I spend too much at a restaurant while I'm on the job, I only expense some of it.

Is there any way to do this?

As our product is currently geared for personal finances, you will find that we are currently lacking in some of the business features folks want (our primary focus is on the personal space).

First time I've been asked if you can exclude a split. I will have to give it a shot.

Is there an update to this question? I would also like to split a transaction and exclude half.
I pay for all of the rent for my apartment, and my roommates pay me back for their share. I would like mint to only show the portion that I did not get reimbursed for.

It is perfectly viable, I do it every month to split bills with my roommate. You just split like normal, name it whatever you want and categorize it as excluded.

I do this but I was wondering: when you tell Mint to Exclude an item, it only excludes it from your budgeted amounts, not account balances, correct?

"Excluding from mint" removes the data from essentially everything but balances.
