I tried logging into my securian 401k account but it keeps giving me an invalid login error.
The link I go to through a browser is www.securianretirementcenter.com But if I go to Securian.com (which is the link provided by you) and then click on 401k it takes me to the above mentioned link from which I can login using my own user name and password . Securian.com itself doesnt seem to have any login on that page, you have to choose some option (borkerage or 401k or something) and then it takes you to the respective site. So how do I log in?
Thanks
Damon

Is there anything else that's different? For example, are our forms missing security questions, etc.?

No, there aren't any security questions or anything. Fairly standard login.

Hmmm...do you know of any recent site changes by the bank?
Can you please try it again over the next several days?

Sorry to hear you had trouble logging in to Securian Retirement Center. Try this: Call 1-800-233-2881. When prompted, enter your social security number and then the * key for customer service.

I'm unable to add my Securian 401k account as well through the "Add Accounts" page on this site. I have no trouble accessing my account through the company's site, www.securianretirementcenter.com
In the "Add an Account" widget for Securian 401k, the website is listed as securian.com. Since Securian offers many products w/ different logins, etc., could Mint be trying to authenticate a different account other than the one I have at securianretirementcenter.com, or another 401k product site other than the one I use?
Also, there aren't any security questions for securianretirementcenter.com

I dont have any problems logging into Securian Retirement. I have a problem doing it via Mint. I doubt customer service would be of any help here.

No, there haven't been any changes made to their site in a while. I have been logging into them since a year and a half and nothing has been done recently. I tried again a few minutes ago with the same result. Thanks for looking into this.

Hi Damon,
I see now that there have been some added steps to the login procedure. However it seems to be asking 4 security questions...I checked my account on securian and there is one standard security question and one self created security question...I dont know what to do with the 4 questions on Mint....and I still cant login. Any ideas?

Hi Damon,
I am having the same problem. The security questions required of securianretirementcenter.com are different than the ones in Mint's "add account" window. My situation is exactly the same as the problem quoted above.

Same issue, Mint.com has the wrong setup to verify Securian.
This is the website here: https://web2.securianretirementcenter.com/secured/PIN.asp
There is only 1 security question, and the other is a personalized question the user can make up.
The only questions to pick from for the 1 security question are as follows:
What is your lucky number?
Where is your favorite vacation spot?
What is your favorite sports team?
What is your favorite teacher's name?
What is your favorite pet's name?
What is your favorite color?
What is your mother's maiden name?
Those are the only static questions.
The next question is one the customer makes up and then provide the answer for it.
All answers have a maximum of 40 characters.
Mint, I hope you can get this working it would be great!
Thanks!

Just adding that this is impacting me too... (If # of people impacting makes any difference!) :)
Hi,
Not sure if this is old news yet, but I've been able to access my Securian 401(k) (www.securianretirementcenter.com) via Mint's 'AccuServe Online' account. The regular AccuServe URL (web2.accuserveonline.com) redirects to Securian's page (web2.securianretirementcenter.com), and web access behaves normally. However, Mint's connection to AccuServe correctly displays the login requirements (only username/password, instead of the several other peripheral identity verification questions that don't appear on Securian's site). Upon logging into the the AccuServe site, Mint correctly gathered the Securian investment account information.

When I try the Accuserve account, I just get a message saying try back later. Has something changed with this option? I can't log in through Securian as well due to the custom security question.

Hi,
I've read all the above posts with interest after recently having login problems with my Securian 401k. Exactly the same problems that all of the above posters have had.
It looks as if there is a mismatch between the URL mint itself tries to log onto and also a mismatch between the log on information that is requested by mint.
Standard log in requires only login ID and password...but there is the option of one standard security question and then one user defined question which I guess would be employed should someone forget their password or something.
Have you had chance to resolve these issues yet???
Regards,
Andrew

Following this thread, I've experienced all mentioned issues.
I tried using the Accuserve option and it perpetually says "We're having problems, please try again later"
Is there any known way around this?

I'm having the same trouble. I believe my trouble may have something to do with the way Securian logs you in, however. When I log in directly to the website (web2.securianretirementcenter.com) I am then asked to pick which 401(k) account I want to look into. I have a 401(k) account for my current job and an old 401(k) account for my old job.
Unfortunately, there's no way to get rid of the old account to see if that's the issue - but I just wanted to post this information in case it would help us find a trend.

I joined recently and everything but Securian Retirement is working. It's really too bad since I thought I could really use this service!

This is great! This forum gets more spam than actual answers to you questions! I'm impressed!

Is there a possibility that this will be fixed? Is it even on the development docket?
