I'm a new user, and there's a feature that was part of one of the very very early versions of A Certain Major Company's money management software that they seem to have eliminated and no one has picked up. Here's how it worked:
I set up all of my recurring bills and deposits. (I don't think Mint lets me do this yet, but I'm optimistic)
The program automatically displays the next 30 days' bills/deposits in the overview window. Now here's what I miss:
there's a line graph at the bottom of the page showing my balances over time. As I check off bills but before clicking "pay", the program updates the line graph. This way I get a quick visual of what things will look like...if I pay this, if I don't pay that, if I pay my whole credit card versus just the mininum payment. Now it doesn't show me the long-term impact of those choices, but some months it's very useful to have the program do the math.
