Comparison users in spendspace?

In the spendspace section, who are the other users we are compared to? Is it all mint users in the USA, a certain city, etc?

Also, I am feeding a family of 4. Is there a way to compare my spending to other families of 4?

Great point and question, that was my biggest query as well. I have a 2 head household, with one income earner. I'd be curious to see how I do pinned against others in the same situation.
