I logged onto my Chase CC account and found my account information missing, an error code and a suggestion to call support. I did call them, and they ran through a verification procedure, asking me for identifying information and whether a couple of recent transactions were legit. They also asked for my mortgage holder and balance, even though it's not theirs.
Finally, they said everything looked OK and my online access would be restored in 3-4 days. Geez! So I asked politely but pointedly and repeatedly what the problem was, why they had taken away online access, whether there was a security problem, or just what was the reason for this unprecedented action. The rep refused to answer any questions at all.
So why am I telling this story? I'm wondering if it has anything to do with Mint's access to my Chase account?
Anybody else have this kind of thing happen?
Thanks. --David.
