Is there a way to view my income (paychecks, etc.) versus spending for a given time period? That is, can I figure out if I have more coming in than going out? This is a crucial feature that I can't figure out.
Thanks,
JMR
Agreed! I need this more than any feature (along with more robust debt tracking features, but they could all be one in the same.
Please!
Thanks for all the hard work so far though, I log in 3-4 times a week to keep track of my finances.

I'd like to bump this to the top. This is an absolutely essential feature, being able to see how much is coming in or going out on a monthly (or other) basis, using all forms of income and deposits vs. total spending.
I agree, this would be a critical function for me.

Hard to imagine they didn't do this initially .. seems so obvious.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but they should really make it work just like Quicken in this regard:
• I customize/determine categories
• I customize/determine subcategories
• I enter income sources
• I enter budget numbers
• Mint rolls it all up automatically so I can view at a glance and THEN I can set spending limits, alerts, etc.

Right now mint is good at telling you what you have for assets, but it's not good tracking cash flow, especially over time.

I totally agree. I'd really like to see something akin to what Quicken puts on their main page. I like being able to see numerically and at a glance how much I'm saving.

I would really like to see this feature. I would really like to see it in the form of line charts w/ the option to see future projections and be able to manipulate your budgets to manipulate cash flow in the future.
This would really help me set and see my goals!
Thanks and keep up the good work!

I'm really disappointed that Mint doesn't have a simple income versus expenses comparison. I expected this feature as a new user, and Mint's budgeting functionality for me is now very limited.

This seems to be the one of the more basic features of any money program. It seems the basic tools are there, please simply flesh this out.
Thanks

Yes I just joined the forums to find out if this feature was here somewhere. Please add it!

I was disappointed about this too. There are a ton of really great features, but this is a major one that's missing.

In particular, I would like to see a simple visual of my monthly income/spending trending over the past 3 or 4 months.

This seems like a pretty basic tool for a personal finance website. Please help your loyal users. What's the hold up?

It's right on the bottom left of the Overview page. Bar graph shows total income and total spending by month and whether its positive or negative for each month.

It would be nice to have cashflow projections. The ability to see hitory and to forecast future cashflow. of course you would need to have bill pay and income budget feature capabilities.
It would also be nice to setup saving goals and then track savings activity by those goals. For example setup a goal for vacation in 09 and during the year you can allocate savings (difference between income and expenses) to that goal during the year.
