View Full Version : First Interstate Bank - stopped working

I use First Interstate Bank (www.firstinterstatebank.com) and for about 2 months it was working perfectly fine. Suddenly a couple weeks ago it stopped working on Mint and there were no changes that I could see to the login procedure on the bank side.

When I re-enter my info in Mint now, I immediately get a "Wrong Username or Password" message without seeing any progress bars or attempts to log in.

I had the same problem. I had to delete the account and re-add it. Unfortunately, it deleted all of my categorization rules, so I had to redo them. I dont know what caused this issue.

These issues are *generally* temporary. If your bank changed anything on their site, such as adding new security features, then it might have affected the ability of our provider to connect. Please be sure to wait a few days & then file a bug if the problem lasts.

I am having issues with it as well. Possibly stemming from the image and pass phrase verification process.

Almost guaranteed that this has to do with First Interstate's new front page design that very unwisely uses flash to start the login process, therefore hobbling a lot of things.

I've emailed them a number of times about it, getting zero response. Usually they are great. But I-Tech, their tech people, seem to have the ego to think they are always right.

Hey guys,
I joined up with Mint in Jan '09 and added my First Interstate Bank checking account, and it worked perfectly fine until March 2009. Now it keeps giving me the "can't login in/temporary issue" error. I can log into my account at 1st Int's website, so I at least know that is working. I emailed Mint and they sent back the response "update your security questions" which I did, and it didn't work. I emailed them again with a new explanation and questions, and they sent me back the SAME EXACT email that they sent me the last time. So no help there...
I'm wondering if anyone else is able to log into their First Interstate Bank's account? Have you had any problems? Any success getting through those problems? Thanks guys...
