sovereign bank Massachusetts, extra authentication required

I got a message when signing up my Sovereign Bank in Massachusetts that extra authentication is required. What does this mean and how do I proceed when I get this message? Under the message there is a "1. Login to American Express Cards directly" and that link takes me to the Sovereign Bank website but I have no idea what to do now.

I think there needs to be more explanation from Mint to guide the user if this happens. Can you explain to me how to proceed now?

This issue is actually happening with pretty much all Sovereign Bank accounts & we're working with our provider to try and resolve. I will post an update if things get better for this bank.

Any news on getting Sovereign Bank accounts working on Mint?!!!

Not yet. There's a high failure rate for the bank. Has anyone seen an issue with the forms on the site for Sovereign? It would be something like secret questions are incorrect, etc. Is everyone answering the appropriate secret questions & answers? As I have no way of logging directly into a sovereign account, I have no idea as to what they do when someone logs in from a different computer.

One possible issue: There is a Sovereign in Illinois not getting pulled in by our provider (for folks that live there).

Hi Damon,

Sovereign does a two step login process. First you go to this page and enter in the login:
https://olb.sovereignbank.com/sovSSA/getLogonSovne.do
Then the page refreshes and you enter the password. On the password page is my "personal image" that I'm asked to verify....or call them if it looks long. It says powered by RSA on the page.

I've never had any problems logging in directly. Let me know if there is anything else I could do to help out....would be great to get Sovereign connected.

having same problems with login in chase bank. While it loaded the account the first time, it no longer updates. Error message states wrong login or password. Do I need extra authentication from the bank? if yes how to do it? HELP
